  Decent hotel. There are other options outside of Wyndham as I'm not a big fan of the properties but this was a decent surprise. Also, this is a great place for EV drivers to stay. Its free charging so stroll in with a low SOC and enjoy the top up. There's an ATT, Verizon, and T-Mobile tower pointing directly at the hotel across the street so every carrier works incredibly well in the hotel and rooms. So much so you might as well not use the wifi

  Stayed here on the way home from skiing. Really nice place with really great rooms. Had breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes, make your own waffles. No fruit while we were here. Indoor pool and little fitness center. Would recommend.

  Hotel has motel service tendencies. Does not appease to guests. Managers will escalate situations and lie that you’re being hostile from a friendly conversation. We called ahead to notify the hotel of our late arrival. What was supposed to be the start of the best weekend of our lives (engagement) we were rudely greeted and double charged due to lack of communication from the staff. The failure was that staff did not document the call or safeguard our prepaid reservation — that is an internal error, not a guest mistake. Because of this I had to double pay. Calling this “standard procedure” avoids taking responsibility for that failure, and labeling the interaction as “confrontational” deflects from the fact that no apology, ownership, or attempt at resolution was ever offered.

  I had a very disappointing experience at Best Western Amarillo East, primarily due to poor communication, lack of accountability, and unacceptable customer service from management. We had a prepaid reservation and called earlier in the evening to notify the hotel that we would be arriving late. Unfortunately, no notes were placed on our reservation. When we arrived late that night, the front desk attendant, Katie, informed us that she had already switched the day over and stated there was “nothing she could do.” Our only option given was to pay for an entirely new reservation, despite the room already being prepaid. No attempt at resolution or escalation was made. The following morning, we spoke with the manager, Brittany Cepeda, hoping for a reasonable solution. Instead, she was outright rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. There was zero accountability for the front desk error, no apology, and no effort whatsoever to resolve the situation or offer compensation. The tone and attitude conveyed made it clear that customer concerns were not a priority. This experience was frustrating, unnecessary, and completely avoidable with basic communication and customer service. Paying guests should not be penalized for internal staff failures, especially when proactive steps were taken on our end. I would strongly caution others when booking here, particularly if you expect professionalism, accountability, or basic courtesy from management.
