I like the location on the edge of town. The lobby was clean & bright. The room was clean, but needs some TLC like wiping down walls & steam-clean furniture. The window was a nice size to see out. The desk is big enough to set up a computer with a secondary display screen. The room was big enough for a week or more stay without feeling cramped. Breakfast was good. Overall, it was very comfortable, and comparable to the various Hamptons I've stayed at.

I booked this hotel a month in advance for Thanksgiving week, only to receive a call three days before my stay saying my reservation was being canceled due to “unforeseen renovations.”
How is it even possible that a hotel wouldn’t know about major renovations until the last minute?
This is one of the busiest travel weeks of the year, and now I’m left scrambling to find another place that isn’t a dingy motel. I planned an 8-hour drive each way to Big Bend and even took PTO for this trip, only for the hotel to casually shrug and cancel everything.
There was zero effort to make things right. No alternatives offered. No compensation. Just a quick “sorry, sir” and goodbye. Completely unprofessional.
If this is how they treat confirmed guests, then good luck to them.
I won’t be booking here again and I won’t be recommending Alpine Holiday Inn to anyone anytime soon.

We booked thru a third party ( booking.com). Never again I booked a single queen and was bunked down to a double without notice). The hotel manager stated booking thru them directly would guarantee the room I initially selected. There was construction going on but was quiet at night the pool was clean and enjoyable. They have a small workout room with update equipment the location was perfect for us

I had a nice stay at this Holiday Inn. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was hearty and good. I enjoyed the cinnamon buns, and omelette. They even had a happy hour with free drinks and snacks that was a great touch. The service was meh, but they were never rude.

Meh, this is not up to the IHG standards imo. Granted it’s in a small town. But even with that the group check-in is laborious, and time consuming in that they require each room to be individually checked-in. Would that they placed such detailed interest in the cleanliness of the rooms. My room had someone’s old food still in the fridge. And once I took my shoes off I stepped on grass burrs the whole time. Ever heard of a vacuum cleaner? The beds were comfortable. And seemed clean. But when the floor is not vacuumed and old food left behind it certainly makes me question how clean these beds really are.
