  Title: Appalling front desk hostility & non-functional room amenities at Garner Istanbul Airport Review Body: I booked Garner Hotel Istanbul Airport expecting the standard of service associated with the IHG brand. While our late-evening check-in around 8:00 PM on 15 August was warm—with the night front desk staff kindly placing our family in two great rooms on Level 2 and extending complimentary breakfast as a welcome gesture for our first stay and IHG loyalty—the experience turned into a total disaster the next morning (16 Aug). First, our TV had no signal all night. Early the next morning, I requested a technician who spent almost 1.5 hours in our room trying to fix it, only to conclude that nothing could be done (see attached photo of the non-functional TV). No apology or management follow-up was provided for delivering a room with faulty basic amenities. The main issue, however, was the rude customer service from the morning front desk staff, who identified himself as Borek. When we went for breakfast, he abruptly stopped us, stating breakfast was not included. I politely explained the arrangement made by the night staff, but Borek flatly refused to listen, treated us with complete disdain, and aggressively demanded €15 per person (€60 total) before we could enter. When I asked him to contact the night manager who checked us in or speak with the duty manager, he refused, claiming they were unreachable. He completely disregarded the commitment made by his colleague and treated loyal IHG members as if we were trying to cheat the hotel out of a meal. We were not hard up for their breakfast—we were preparing for a long flight back to Asia where far superior food awaited us in the lounge and onboard—but his condescending tone and utter lack of hospitality were shocking. I expect IHG management to address why verbal commitments made by night staff are dishonored by morning staff, and why guests are provided rooms with non-functional amenities without any service recovery. I strongly advise travelers—especially IHG loyal members—to avoid this property until management addresses its severe service breakdown.

  We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The hotel was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The shuttle service was especially helpful for my mom and made getting around so much easier and more convenient. The breakfast was also fantastic, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options to choose from. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with excellent service. We would happily stay here again! thank you

  Gutes Hotel für eine Übernachtung am Airport IST. Vom Airport aus einfach mit dem Bus B-6 erreichbar. Zum Airport empfiehlt sich zumindest früh am Morgen ein Taxi
