  Old, dirty, and worn down furniture. The day shift lady was really sweet. The kid working night shift wasnt great. My tv was stuck on one channel and they told me I could switch rooms and they couldnt find the maintenance man. Employees were standing outside the front door smoking. The shower head was covered in water scale, the couch was gross, the hallways were gross. Luckily the bed was clean and I was sure to check the mattress cover and crevices. Breakfast was good. But 1 nice employee and good breakfast doesnt make up for much.

  I reserved the dbl KING suite. No hot water. Front desk didn’t alert before checking in. Rooms OLD!! Turned on light and was twilight zone. Flashing! Dresser was broken. Carpet worn out. Bathroom wall messed up. Spoke to AM manager and they said oh we’re having pressure issues. So it will flow cold but not hot???? Showed video of lights and damage. She said were got into be remodeling soon. You checking out? YEP!! That’s it. Not oh I’m sorry. NOTHING. Won’t be staying here. If I were told this I would have gone to next town and stayed. IHG do better.

  We just left this hotel. It really let us down. Upon checking in, the front desk clerk admonished me for using booking.com for our reservation. He informs us that his aunt owns the hotel and doesn’t like it when booking.com doesn’t pay the hotel properly. He then instructed me to call their customer service and demand booking.com pay the extra 7 bucks that they were owed. On the way to our room, we see signs stating the pool is “closed for maintenance.” Our room was just down the hall from there. We walk in and immediately noticed it smells musty. There’s peeling wallpaper everywhere. A half toilet paper roll left in the bathroom.. It was not a comfortable space to be in. The next morning, we go for breakfast and noticed that area is also seemingly falling apart. Rippled wallpaper everywhere. The food was okay, but there was a strong cleaning agent being used at the same time as breakfast, so it made eating unpleasant. There also seemed to be more dirty tables than clean ones. After breakfast, we asked the front desk about the pool. No excuse for why it was needing maintenance was given, but we were told it would be closed for some time. The only thing that did seem consistent was several people at the front desk got their smoke breaks in. I have stayed at Holiday Inns before that were much nicer than this. And because I had to make a rushed reservation to attend a funeral, I thought that I would have the same experience I have at other locations. I understand that renovations are ongoing, but there are more problems here than that. It was already a rough time, and the stay at the Sweetwater location didn’t help. Do better.
