- MGMichael GDec 5, 20251.0We had a very disappointing one-night stay here after spending the day in Knoxville. After checking in at 10PM on a cold night, we entered our room and discovered that the air conditioning unit was set on "cool" with the room being 63°F. After managing to set the unit to "heat" with the dual controls on the wall-mounted thermostat and the window unit's controls, my wife and I began to experience respiratory irritation and an allergy-like reaction. I'm not saying the air conditioning/heating unit was the cause; maybe it was a coincidence. During the night, after waking up with clogged sinuses and nasal passages, I turned the unit off. I examined the unit and noticed that the inside was quite dirty/dusty. The only filter was a plastic mesh type that one can find in cheap dehumidifiers. We ended up leaving at 6AM, way before intended, due to this development. During checkout, I mentioned my concerns about the room to the front desk staff member and that we were skipping an event in Knoxville that day in order to go directly home due to the way we were feeling physically. She stated that she would have maintenance look at the unit and that she would add points back to my account (this hasn't happened). One positive note: the front desk staff member at check-in was pleasant and helpful.

The only bad thing I experienced was not having enough towels or a laundry bag in the room which front desk provided me with when I walked down. The morning time was so busy and LILLY DID AMAZING HANDLING THE CROWD AND FOOD ! From the way she made breakfast which was the best yet to greeting and helping guest ! Super star right there ! Happy Thanksgiving Lilly !!!!
