We stay here when we come for a weekend break. People at the desk are always nice and friendly. Briann and Holly were very friendly and informative. Our room had great water pressure and was good and hot. We had a great time and enjoyed all the Christmas lights.

My wife selected this motel for a couple of nights in Pigeon Forge and she did a good job. Overall, this was a very good place to stay.
The "theme" is German and there is an onsite German restaurant called the "Wild Bear Tavern" which has a limited, but well done set of selections. Be sure to check out the Black Forest Cake and Apple Strudel. They also serve the included breakfast, but that was only ok (scrambled eggs and three kind of dry pancakes). The service there was fine and the staff was very friendly.
The room was pretty good overall. We asked for a first floor room as my wife and I are now seniors and they obliged. We were around on the side of the building so it was fairly quiet. Though the room was a bit on the small side it was clean and it had most of the desired amenities as in a fridge, microwave, ironing board with iron, a coffee maker (single cup) and a hair drier.
It also had a large bathroom and a separate table with two chairs (the single queen room) which was nice to eat at and for playing card games. No in-room safe, but not really required like in a larger hotel.
Only two complaints were were no closet/hooks for coats and such, and the shower was -very- low flow. Just barely adequate.
With the motel being on the Sorth end of town, it was close to Gatlinburg as well. It's also one of the closest to Dollywood which was our original goal.
Worth checking out.

BRIANNA! Keep her….. give her a raise…. She’s the best. I stay here almost every other weekend. The sweet girl at the hotel reception desk, Brianna, is a gem. ALWAYS greets with a smile, remembers details about me and goes above and beyond. She should be recognized. I always look forward to staying here because it’s clean and the service is wonderful. Prices around here go way up during events but otherwise the price is manageable.

My room was horrible, every time I left the room, I had to get my key redone multiple times, and multiple other occupants were there with the same issue. My door was not locking properly, and when asked to be moved , I was denied due to no availability. Ac didn’t work good, and gave off a nasty smell. If you want to over pay for a Motel 6 experience go ahead. Staff was nice though.

We booked this trip from a timeshare promotion so we had no choice in hotel. We just picked a destination and were assigned to the Wild Bear Inn. I read reviews prior to arrival so I was hesitant about our stay.
We arrived around 6pm on Thursday. The employee in the lobby gave us our keys and assigned us a room on the first floor around the middle of the building. When we got there, we swiped the key and it turned green but the door wouldn’t open. After trying multiple times, I went back to the lobby and she gave me new keys and said if that didn’t work, she’d get maintenance over there. In the meantime, the maintenance man happened to be walking by and helped us get in the room and then changed the lock since it wasn’t a key issue. Shoutout to him!
We didn’t even know what type of room we were getting as that wasn’t a choice with our promotion either. The room had 2 queen beds, a table with 2 chairs, a fridge, a microwave, a TV, a huge wardrobe and VERY LITTLE WALKING ROOM. The bathroom was so small and difficult to get into/out of the shower and dry off. Overall the room was clean. We didn’t utilize housekeeping (honestly I’m not even sure if it was an option).
One thing I will say is that despite seeing people go into the rooms next to/above us, the noise level was minimal which was a huge plus.
As for location, it was pretty much the end of the strip in Pigeon Forge aside from the new racing coaster. The parking lot was STEEP! The pool (though we did not use it) was kind of in the middle of the parking lot right off the street. I would have preferred the hotel to be set back a bit to be further from the hustle and bustle of the city, though it was not much different from the other hotels in the area.
Not a bad hotel but if I went back, I’d prefer to rent a cabin off the beaten path.
