We are gold members. We always stay in a Holiday inn express. The faucet in the shower was not working right. You either had scalding hot water or low water pressure. The toilet made a very high pitch sound with every flush and normally these hotels are quite. We had people up and down the halls for three hours one night. People talking loudly, kids yelling and bouncing balls. Definitely not one of the best we have stayed in. And yes, I did inform the front desk about the shower. The toilet started on our last night there. I told the front desk when I checked out.

Our family had an excellent experience at this hotel. Dominic exceeded expectations to ensure our comfort throughout our Christmas stay. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We sincerely thank Dominic for his support. (Thank you for the towels, makeup remover, and popcorn).

Relatively inexpensive option to get a room that sleeps 6 people. Rooms were very clean, building and eating area was clean, continental breakfast was good, even for kids, staff was friendly. Wasn't able to use any other amenities, so can speak to those. Would definitely recommend, especially if you're just stopping for the night.

***This hotel is not family friendly!***
Upon arrival to this hotel on Thursday, November 20th, the brunette front desk employee was immediately rude and smug to my husband.
After a long day of being rained on at Dollywood, we settled into our room as my husband went to retrieve some food for my kids. They were hungry and ready to go to bed. My young son started to cry from being weary and in a foreign place. Almost immediately after he started crying, while I was trying to console him, a male showed up at my door knocking. My husband, not being there advised me not to answer the door for a random man. He yelled through the door and told us to quiet down. I’ll stop right here and add the first reason why the hotel is at fault.
1. There should be no reason for the walls to be so thin that anyone can hear him.
After this, my husband returned in a timely manner and my son was happy again. This ordeal lasted no more than 5 minutes.
Once he arrived home, we received a threatening phone call from the brunette woman up front. As we tried to explain to the lady that it is normal for kids to act as such and that he is ok now, she repeatedly talked over us and threatened us. She even accused us of abandoning my son, which was not true, I was with him the entire time. She exaggerated the situation, claiming that she heard “screaming”. My husband eventually just hung up on her and we went to bed.
Issue number 2 from the hotel:
There is no reason to be calling and speaking rudely to someone over a young child, especially after he is consoled.
A while later, we received a knock on the door. My husband answered. It was the police. The police officer stated that the front desk lady was saying that there was “consistent arguing” (which was a blatant lie). He also told us that she had mentioned that she was threatening to “kick us out”.
This leads to the third and biggest issue.
3. Calling the police and telling lies to them is not only criminal, it is criminal harassment. We paid money to stay at this establishment only to be harassed and scared. It is an understatement to say that we were unwelcome.
We feel that this was not in order to produce safety, but because of a power trip on the part of the front desk receptionist.
We found out the next day that the neighbors were drinking liquor and were heavily drunk.
These are the people that they support over an innocent family that they chose to harass. Needless to say, me and my extended family that was also there will never be staying there again. We will also never be staying at any hotel in the same group.
