***This hotel is not family friendly!*** Upon arrival to this hotel on Thursday, November 20th, the brunette front desk employee was immediately rude and smug to my husband. After a long day of being rained on at Dollywood, we settled into our room as my husband went to retrieve some food for my kids. They were hungry and ready to go to bed. My young son started to cry from being weary and in a foreign place. Almost immediately after he started crying, while I was trying to console him, a male showed up at my door knocking. My husband, not being there advised me not to answer the door for a random man. He yelled through the door and told us to quiet down. I’ll stop right here and add the first reason why the hotel is at fault. 1. There should be no reason for the walls to be so thin that anyone can hear him. After this, my husband returned in a timely manner and my son was happy again. This ordeal lasted no more than 5 minutes. Once he arrived home, we received a threatening phone call from the brunette woman up front. As we tried to explain to the lady that it is normal for kids to act as such and that he is ok now, she repeatedly talked over us and threatened us. She even accused us of abandoning my son, which was not true, I was with him the entire time. She exaggerated the situation, claiming that she heard “screaming”. My husband eventually just hung up on her and we went to bed. Issue number 2 from the hotel: There is no reason to be calling and speaking rudely to someone over a young child, especially after he is consoled. A while later, we received a knock on the door. My husband answered. It was the police. The police officer stated that the front desk lady was saying that there was “consistent arguing” (which was a blatant lie). He also told us that she had mentioned that she was threatening to “kick us out”. This leads to the third and biggest issue. 3. Calling the police and telling lies to them is not only criminal, it is criminal harassment. We paid money to stay at this establishment only to be harassed and scared. It is an understatement to say that we were unwelcome. We feel that this was not in order to produce safety, but because of a power trip on the part of the front desk receptionist. We found out the next day that the neighbors were drinking liquor and were heavily drunk. These are the people that they support over an innocent family that they chose to harass. Needless to say, me and my extended family that was also there will never be staying there again. We will also never be staying at any hotel in the same group.

I can’t even explain enough the literal Hell I went through staying here. I never in my life, out of all of the Airbnb’s and hotels that I have stayed in over many years dealt with a situation such as this. Upon arrival, after a long day (and being soaking wet) from being rained on at Dollywood, my very hungry and tried four year old started crying as he was waiting for my husband to bring him home food. My husband was gone for 8 minutes. My child cried for maybe 2. As a typical mom, I was of course shocked and upset about my angel of a child being so upset. I did everything possible to calm him down. Immediately after he started crying, a front desk person knocked on my door stating that we needed to quiet down. A couple minutes later, my husband arrived back with the food and my child was as calm as can be. I then received a phone call from the front desk that my husband answered. The “manager”, a woman, accused us of abandoning our son along with telling us once again to quiet down. I tried to explain to her that all toddlers get upset sometimes. She did nothing but argue with me, exaggerating the seriousness of the incident. At this point, my husband did not know what to do other than hang up on her, we weren’t going to sit there and be verbally harassed. After this, we were all asleep and my husband was awake about to work on his computer when we get a knock from the POLICE. The police stated that the front desk woman claimed that we were fighting with her and couldn’t keep quiet. We literally made no sound after the whopping 2 minutes (if that) that my poor son was upset. She clearly just wanted to be the alpha in this situation since we were forced to hang up on her. My family stayed here as well as us. My entire family is planning on leaving a 1 star review in our defense as well as calling corporate. If you have a baby or a child, (my children are very well behaved!!!!) do not, I repeat, do not stay here!

The rooms are clean and very convent for travel . Betty and Becky work very hard to provide an excellent breakfast with many food choices. They greet you with a smile and make sure the area is clean and well stocked. Thank you!
