My family and I stayed here over the New Year’s week. We got in later then anticipated since we drove from Florida and there were a couple of traffic jams. Check-in was easy and we asked for a pack and play for our toddler son. The front desk rep stated she would call house keeping and have them bring one up. We never got the call or a knock on the door for it and he ended up sleeping in the bed with us. I called in the morning and spoke with another front desk worker and I explained to her what happened the night before. She said she would have one brought up to us and she would call us when they do. We left for the day and I asked again and I got the same let me ask housekeeping. There was a maintenance guy next to her and he said oh yeah we have one and I will bring it up for you and he did.
The next issue was that I used their soap that came with the room in the shower and the following day I noticed itching by my elbow. The day we checked out which was Saturday my elbows were very itchy and it formed a rash on my elbow and it was really inflamed and started to form water bisters, it is a bunch of them clustered and they itch really bad, my left elbow started to itch a lot and little water blisters formed as well. It’s a localized bug spot and I just saw my Doctor today and I had a reaction to either the soap or bedding. Since Saturday I’ve tried different topical creams and ointments and nothing has worked. He prescribed me a stronger medication and I hope it works. If you stay there be careful when using the soap, no one else with us has this issue but my wife said she used the conditioner and her scalp was itching and had little red bumps and still does.
Besides those issues the location is perfect and right behind a shopping plaza that has a Food City.

We had just stayed at the Lodge for the 3rd. Time and like always it’s been a fantastic experience.
They have a really nice lobby with 2 fireplaces and plenty of chairs & sofa to hang out.
The room was very clean & the hotel is a very quality construction so it not noisy.
We will be back in the spring to stay here again.

I was charged taxes only on my stay. The amount was $69 when i asked for an itemized bill the attendants raised the taxes to $90 claiming someone made a mistake. The manager had an attitude and did not address the issue properly. They sent a text and i replied with the issue and they promised a call back which never happened. The tvs are basic cable no smart tvs. Rooms are very small and the lighting is horrible. Appliances are old with low power microwave and a mini fridge. The shower did not have any body wash. The pool is ugly and full of leaves. The trash truck comes by at 5 am and slams all the trashcans down the block. The beds were amazingly soft with some nice soft big pillows.

The hotel itself is located in a great spot. The service itself was lacking. The room is chose online was "upgraded" but I didn't get the balcony or any larger of a room. So, I am confused on the "upgrade". During our stay housekeeping came twice and only made the once. They never filled the shower gel or conditioner even though I made a request. Nog impressed at all by this particular location. I will choose more wisely next time.
