I was extremely disappointed with our experience at Play Playground. From the start, service was frustrating — there was only one bartender on, and it took about 15 minutes just to get served. We ordered two double vodka Red Bulls, which ended up costing $85, which felt wildly overpriced for what we received.
Online, the games and activities look high-quality, immersive, and much more fun than they actually are. In reality, many of the games felt cheap, poorly made, and underwhelming. There also wasn’t nearly as much to do as advertised. We ended up wasting a lot of our credits because there weren’t many activities we wanted to do more than once. also, the instructions are very confusing. I’m not well written.
We came in with high expectations based on the marketing and social media presence, but unfortunately the experience did not live up to the hype at all. The only positive was that there are a few cute areas for photo ops — but beyond that, it wasn’t worth the cost.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless major improvements are made.

Our group had fun together, but I don’t think the games are worth the price. You can go to the rooftop and enjoy without buying the Play passes. Drinks were not the greatest or enjoyable, but I guess for $17, it was nice that they were strong. (rum and coke, vodka redbull, green tea shots).

Went for NYE and was so disappointed. The games were lame - checkers, connect four, a spinning top, Velcro wall, and a small obstacle. We could not see fireworks at midnight from the rooftop. The open bar had super sweet drinks. Do not recommend! Dave and Busters is a lot better.

Fun games, but disorganized check‑in and disappointing service.
We booked the Team Play package for a work Christmas party and, while we ultimately had a great time playing the games, the experience getting started and ordering food was frustrating.
After completing our waivers, the staff downstairs told us to “head upstairs to get checked in” but didn’t specify which floor. We went all the way to the rooftop and were met by an employee who seemed unsure of what was happening and directed us down one level to find someone else. The rooftop still had “reserved” signs from an earlier event, which made it unclear whether we could use that area. Back on the lower level, there was no one guiding guests; I had to walk around for about five minutes to find help. Once we were checked in, we received our cards but no orientation—no mention of the VIP seating included with our package. Not knowing where to go, our group ended up crammed at a table across from the bar with our “dirty Santa” gifts.
Food ordering was also confusing. Our package included a 20% off coupon, but the bartender (who was helpful) let us know it could only be used on the rooftop. When we went back up to order, the same employee declined to offer any menu recommendations (“I can’t do that”) and said they don’t have staff to bring food downstairs because “we are not a restaurant.” The tone felt dismissive and the customer service fell short.
We enjoyed the games and the venue’s concept, but clearer signage, better check‑in coordination, and proactive communication—especially for package bookings—would make a big difference. Honoring package benefits (like VIP seating) and providing basic guidance on food ordering would also improve the overall experience.
EDIT: Alaina Griffin with Play Playground called me and was super understanding and apologetic with how our experience was. She assured me that was not how they ever wanted guests to fill and that all of the issues would be addressed. She gave me her personal cell phone number and invited us back in for free games and drinks to make up for it! I really appreciated that!

The pineapple picante Paloma was good a little sweet a little spicy, but not overly on either one. The skinny spicy margarita was good but I wasn't expecting the seltzer water. It’s definitely very cold upstairs but there’s more seating up here. Service was good. The music was amazing if you love the 80s and 90s. There was no Christmas music and I can't say it felt like Candyland or like the pop-up I saw on IG.
The Lost in the peppermint forest is very very peppermint tasting, if you do not like peppermint do not get this! Dolly’s blonde is very good mainly tastes like strawberry. You don’t really taste any ginger or mint. The pretzel bites came out super fast, hot, and good although I would prefer a bigger size of beer cheese. You must sign a waiver, regardless of whether you’re playing games or not before you go up. Then, you cannot use the same phone number for both people which they did not tell us about so we had to redo the whole form. They need to make it where you can play individual games because the ticket price is a little much if you only wanna play one or two games even though it’s good for a year but we live out of state and would not use it. We did not find out till later that the ball pits and the selfie area are free. They should probably add a sign mentioning that since that was all we were originally interested in. The bathrooms were pretty cool. There’s information about Nashville on all of the stalls. There’s lots of photo opportunities throughout the entire facility.
Guests must be 21+ after 7 PM. 16+ welcome until 7 PM (last entry 6 PM).
