This is not your grandma's Holiday Inn! This place is top notch! From the service to the rooms. From the location to the amenities, this place is the spot in downtown Nashville! Just 5 mins from Broadway and tucked far enough away that you will have a quick time back and forth. Even if you don't stay 100% stop by the "Almost Friday's" sports bar. If there is a game it will be on one of the bazillion screens. A++

A perfectly acceptable holiday inn within walking distance to Broadway. Room was ok, we didn't like the barn door on the bathroom since it doesn't block a lot of light and noise. Breakfast was expensive. A coffee is $4. They stopped serving dinner at 10 pm. Staff was friendly. They had record players you could take to the room, which is cool, but we went to a bar instead. I booked with points and it was expensive. I didn't realize there was a $20 plus tax fee per night that points don't cover. If I were doing it again I would probably go to the holiday inn express, whish isn't as nice, but at least includes breakfast.

There are some occasions when you just get blown away by the kindness of strangers. Kelton, The valet at this hotel was one of those occasions. I pulled into the South Park valet late at night, stressed out and forgot to grab a ticket. His employees were following company policy to verify my payment, etc. etc. and Kelton swooped in and handled the situation with such grace and kindness. He said it was absolutely no big deal and quickly remedy the situation so that I could get to my appointment. He could have been a jerk about it but rather he showed what a true gentleman and problem solver he is. I hope he sticks around.

When we arrived to check in, I asked a question about how valet works and instead of her answering a quick question, she said I can ask valet. Okay? So I go to get ahold of valet. I was here for a conference and they were not entirely sure how the validation code worked. It was very chaotic from the moment we checked in. We had a guy trying to rush us to get our stuff on the cart. For $50+ a day I don’t think I should be made to feel rushed. I wasn’t sure the protocol if he was supposed to take our luggage cart up or if we were. It was so unclear and uncomfortable. We arrived to our room to find a 2 queen room, we booked a king. We told the luggage guy, sorry this isn’t right. He said we’ll take that up with the lobby. He is just a luggage guy. So. We go down, with the luggage guy, sooooo uncomfortable in the elevator. Clearly we were using his valuable time. When I arrived to the desk, the young man at the counter informed me, I did book a 2 queen room. I KNEW I didn’t BECAUSE I am here for a work conference and when I used our employer credit card, my employer was with me to see, I had taken the last king room, because I had asked him if he was okay with that. After the young man argued with me I did get ahold of concierge and they apologized for the interaction. The room is nice. It’s big enough for 2 guests. The bathroom shower has a nice feature where the handle is opposite side of the shower head. So you can turn it on and let it warm up before you get in. The dove soap dispensers are very nice. They smell so good. So much so that I plan to buy some when I get home. Where the thermostat is, they never patched the wall so there is a gaping hole below the thermostat. For a room that is $450+ a night shouldn’t that be something that I would expect to find in a $100 a night hotel? The two cowboy hats and the map of Nashville is a nice touch. The curtains are modern and definitely darken the room. We had a view of a rooftop, industrial looking, which, doesn’t bother me that much? But it definitely isn’t a view you would snap a photo of. I tried to call down to the lobby and found that the phone is there for looks. There was no dial tone. Video included in the review. There was mold on the ceiling near the elevators on the 7th floor. The conference center was AMAZING. It was so beautiful. Tall ceilings. The food at breakfast, and lunch were excellent. The fruit was fresh. The meat tasted like good quality. The sides were unique, and very delicious. The tables were sturdy, and the chairs were sturdy, even for someone who is heavy. The bathrooms are beautiful and clean on that floor. There is so much natural light. On the floor of the lobby, there is a bar, and a little bodega. I’ve included some photos. The location of the hotel is perfect. You are so close to the “happening” spots in Nashville.

Greeting by valet initially David was great! Hotel staff in lobby were very helpful. I will say that if you want a quiet hotel this is not the place to stay. The walls were paper thin to the point where I could hear the TV from the room next to me and the voices of the people staying there. Additionally being woken up both nights at 2am by clearly intoxicated people coming back to the hotel yelling in the halls. It is close to Broadway though, walking distance was great.
