I stayed at Holiday Inn Nashville Vanderbilt for 8 days during my home’s 10 day power outage this winter. I want to commend the entire staff for bending over backwards to make me and other storm “refugees “ comfortable. In particular, Keniah Cannon was very helpful in assisting me with computer complexities.

During our stay of three nights we had no hot water. Also, the QR code they gave us did not work when we left the parking lot each time so we paid with our own credit card and they still charged us $100 for the parking even though we sent them proof that we paid for parking with our own money.

This hotel is awesome and I need to give a special shoutout to Hervie working the desk. We’re in town dealing with medical emergencies and he took the time to help pull off an awesome birthday surprise for my mom who spent her special day sitting at her husbands bedside in the icu. In a time of stress, he was a shining light!!

Where, Ferdinand and Joe were exceptional in the restaurant. We stayed 5 nights during the recent ice storm. We were quoted $139 a night but then were charged more every night thereafter, said it was standard practice. Sounds more like corporate greed, especially when people are most vulnerable. The shower was barely lukewarm most of the time, when all we wanted was a hot shower. We had to call 3 times for a box of kleenex, then they tried to deliver a second box when we were already asleep at 9:30. Sheree in the restaurant was especially compassionate to our situation, but Ferdinand and Joe also went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable.

My friend booked out stay a month or so ago for her birthday weekend. Then, the ice storm hit many states, including Nashville, TN, the weekend before we were to arrive. Upon getting into our room (Thursday night), there was barely any warm water. We contacted the front desk and I spoke with Carson. He was super polite, helpful and explained there was an issue with their boiler. I then spoke with Keniya (Friday) and later Hervie (manager on Saturday) and they each shared the same story about the broken boiler being the culprit for no hot water. Despite the hotel being at full capacity (many residents were without power so they came to the hotel), the lobby being busy and full of pet dogs, Hervie, Keniya and Carson were super agents!! 😂They never flinched, kept their professional composures and held things down like pros!! 😁😂 Every interaction I had with them & observed between them and others, Hervie, Keniya and Carson were always nice, polite and professional. Hervie is a hoot!! Great personality!! And we had great interactions with the security crew: Clay (so awesome), Calvin, Zach, and the shuttle driver, Lewis. Also, one of the room service agents was so sweet (I didn’t get a chance to see her name badge, but short, Spanish, dark black hair in a bob cut & was working around 1pm on Saturday on the 8th floor). Also, the host in the restaurant during happy hour on Friday (short, white guy with glasses and a mustache) was helpful and nice, as well. It was BRICK COLD outside and the hotel was BUSY, but despite it all, the entire staff was always so kind, helpful and courteous. My friend and I will hopefully be back in Nashville this summer and will definitely stay here again! Many, many thanks to the whole staff for being so on their game when the city of Nashville was covered in ice and snow!! (I gave 4 stars instead of 5 solely because we were there for 3 nights and had hot water once (cold showers are brutal!! lol). 😬🥶)
