Right next to Centennial park so perfect to stay at with my pup. Very busy on new years eve but they kept check in moving smoothly. I did not use any of the food services as I had my dog with me but they do have room service and there are several restaurants that have carryout within a few minutes. Room was nice. Loved that there was a small balcony. My dog appreciated this too. gated parking.

Have stayed at this hotel a few times and always get great service. Rashi was exceptionally helpful, as was Kane (sp?) when I had a problem with my reservation and I can't thank her enough for gladly helping me to resolve. We will definitely use this hotel again. Great location as well. Out of the chaos of downtown Nashville and still just a 5-7 min ride away. Highly recommend!

We rented several of the meeting rooms. The sales staff was wonderful! Hanna was amazing! Yette and Savannah took great care to attend to our needs for the event! All in all a great staff.....
The only issue for us was the parking. The kiosk just don't work :( I had to return to the front desk several times. The first time I was instructed to press the "Help" button (when I did, the button did nothing....) Please fix this for future guest. The parking is a significant charge 35$ for my car to park in the back.

My girlfriend and I come to Nashville several times a year, and we just found the hotel we'll be staying at for our future visits! The Holiday Inn Nashville-Vanderbilt has been a wonderful place to stay this week. The location is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the shuttle is a great amenity. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating; they helped us change our room type at the last minute since they had availability.
The attached Commodore Grill restaurant had very good food, and we enjoyed the live music. Most importantly, the restaurant had numerous gluten-free options, and our servers were very knowledgeable about allergen safety. When there was confusion over a menu item, our server Madi did a great job of going to get the manager Michelle. She came over, talked to us and other staff, and worked out a solution for our meal as well as a plan to promptly address an issue with a menu item going forward.
We really appreciated their attention to our issue and their sincere concern for other customers' safety, well-being, and comfort. We felt really taken care of, so thanks to every at this location for a great visit to Nashville :)

Overall I recommend this hotel. Four adults, two rooms. We got a really good rate and the hotel is located across the road from Centennial Park, not far from downtown, right near Vanderbilt U.
Check in was quick and easy; Melissa was great. She provided rooms next to each other with a complimentary upgrade for us. Gave lots of helpful info. We received a text from her shortly after check in to see if all was good with the room. (We also got additional text from Cain on day three to see if things were still good.)
The lobby is clean and spacious with lots of varied seating, a few computers, and a tv. The three elevators are all fast. Towards the end of our stay there was a team putting up beautiful Christmas trees; I counted nineteen. A fun addtion to the lobby atmosphere.
The restaurant/bar in the lobby has live music nightly and serves breakfast and dinner. The food was decent for dinner; avoid the spinach dip. Drinks were disappointing; maybe stick with beer. We didn’t try the breakfast; it was $18.99 per person at the time of our visit and we would not have eaten enough to warrant the price. There's also a coffee bar in the lobby that has some grab and go items. It appears to be open just until afternoon.
The complimentary shuttle service to surrounding areas, including downtown, is a wonderful amenity. Drivers Richard, Charles, Josh and Jason all are courteous, friendly, helpful and beyond accommodating. We took quite a few trips with Richard and Charles so I want to give them an extra shout out for being so terrific.
The room was a good size. Clean. Walls and doors are pretty soundproof. The furniture is showing signs of wear; sofa needs some cleaning and repair, soft-close drawers often refuse to stay closed, faux leather bed skirt is a bit beat up.
There is a big wide open closet with removable hangers and a full shelf. There's an iron and ironing board.
Bathroom- Dove products; body lotion, hand soap at the sink. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the shower. Plenty of fluffy white towels. Hair dryer and wall mounted magnifying mirror (yay!). Good amount of counter space and bars for towels, but no robe hook. Exhaust fan stays on when the light is on.
There's a Keurig coffee maker in the room with regular and decaf cups, and tea bags. A large tv that can be turned toward the bed or sofa and a microwave and mini fridge. No safe in the room.
Heating unit was almost constantly on (it was very cold outside during our stay) and was pretty loud but we got used to it quickly.
Bed was very comfortable.
Housekeeping staff is so helpful and thoughtful; requests for items were met immediately. We didn’t have the room done every day, but when we did the note I left with requests for replenishment of coffee etc, and waters were responded to with more than I had requested, and a cute little note with some candies was left on the counter. The room was made up perfectly.
I want to mention that it seems like many people do not tip housekeeping staff or shuttle drivers. At least two or three singles to the driver with each trip (a bundle is saved not using ride apps or taxis for many trips) and a five in the room when housekeeping will come is a small percentage of our trip budget and is appreciated by staff.
