There are a lot of good things about this property. The staff is friendly, good amenities, nice breakfast buffet, great shower and bed, plenty of charging stations for electric cars, a good restaurant Rock N' Dough attached to the lobby. It's a great all around value.
The only thing I would recommend, is that you consider the location. Depending on what you want out of your stay, it's either great or inconvenient.
If you are here because you are wanting to be near a loved one in the hospital, it's the BEST option.
If you are here on vacation, it's a little far from the typical tourist spots. It is close to a major highway and the hotel offers a shuttle service that makes frequent trips to the city center and Opryland.
There is nothing except a car wash and a Walmart within walking distance. And by walking distance, I mean about a mile. I know it looks like it's across the street on Google Maps, but the sidewalk is a meandering path across a wide and busy intersection so you better walk quickly when the light turns green.
It's blistering hot in the summer so whatever groceries you pick up better not be heavy or need refrigeration.
It's not a neighborhood you'd want to walk around at night anyway. That being said, the hotel is very safe. The parking lot is brightly lit and hotel staff are on duty all night. Plus, access to the hotel is restricted to guests with a key card after hours.
I highly recommend this hotel. Just be aware that you'll probably want a car during your trip or make use of the hotel's shuttle service.

I witnessed an incident last weekend during breakfast involving two guests who had lodged into the hotel. The front desk clerk was speaking to them in a raised and confrontational manner, which I found concerning and unprofessional.
From what I understood, the guests were requesting a late checkout. If the hotel was unable to accommodate that request, it would have been more appropriate to politely explain the policy or offer alternatives, such as a paid late checkout option. Clear and respectful communication could likely have prevented the situation from escalating.
As my friend and I were checking out, we observed that a police officer had become involved. It was surprising and disappointing to see the matter escalate to that level. In my view, the situation was not handled in a professional or customer-focused manner.
I hope upper management will review this incident carefully and take appropriate steps to address the concerns and ensure that future interactions with guests are handled with professionalism and respect.
My experience at Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville North Skyline on February 21, 2026 was deeply disappointing and discriminatory. It seems there is a preconceived bias against minority guests that is evident even before the check-in process begins.
At check-in, the front desk employee (Jonna or Johanna) was rude and uncommondating. I was feeling under the weather, and wanted to go to the pharmacy to get some medication but when we asked if she could briefly hold our bag while we stepped out to get medication, she aggressively refused.
Later on when we inquired about late check-out the next morning, Jonna or Johanna informed us to "get out" and that we were not "wanted here"
She responded in such an unprofessional and hostile manner. She made a comment explicitly stating that this is why she dislikes " people like us” visiting the property a remark that was clearly directed at us. This behavior was shocking, completely unacceptable, and has no place in any professional setting, let alone the hospitality industry.
When we reported the incident to manager (Angela Moore), the situation was handled even more poorly. Rather than speaking with us directly to understand what had occurred, the manager called our room and demanded we vacate the property immediately without offering any form of refund or resolution. She also went further to involve the police. This is not appropriate or professional conduct by any standard.
To make matters worse, several other guests dining at breakfast that same morning raised complaints about the same employee's behavior at the front desk, yet no corrective action was taken. Given that this appears to be a family-run establishment, it seems accountability is not a priority.
No guest should ever be made to feel unwelcome or discriminated against based on their race. I strongly urge others to consider this when choosing where to stay.
Thank you for your response, but please be truthful and transparent. Unfortunately, the version of events you shared is inaccurate and does not reflect what actually occurred.
At no time did we assault or behave aggressively toward any member of your staff. From the moment of check-in, the interaction with Johanna was already unprofessional and dismissive, even as we explained that a member of our party was unwell. When we later requested a late checkout, Johanna did in fact agree to it.
However, Andrai, you informed law enforcement that we could not remain on the property and instructed that we be removed, without ever speaking to us or asking for our side of the situation. As a manager, it is concerning that no effort was made to investigate or hear directly from the guests before escalating the matter.
We were told to leave and made to feel unwelcome. I also emailed Danny, the hotel manager, immediately after the incident and have not received any response to date.
Law enforcement was called based on a false allegation, which escalated the situation unnecessarily and caused significant distress.
As paying guests, we expected basic professionalism, fairness, and respect. Instead, we experienced treatment that was dismissive and deeply concerning.
We are preserving all documentation and will be escalating this matter through the appropriate corporate and legal channels.
We stand by our original review and sincerely hope future guests are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect.

Stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville North Skyline on Feb 21 and had a very upsetting experience.
At check-in, the front desk employee (Jonna/Johanna) was rude and condescending. My sister was not feeling well, and when we asked if she could briefly hold our bag while we stepped out to get medication, she refused. Later, when we asked about a late checkout, we were told to “get out” and that we were “not wanted here,” and the phrase “people like you” was used, which we found offensive and inappropriate.
The manager on duty, Angela Moore, later called our room and told us to vacate the property without asking for our side. Police were then called to remove us. An allegation of assault was made against us, which we strongly dispute. We were never physical and have asked management to review surveillance footage for an accurate account.
Other guests witnessed the interaction and commented on how unprofessional it was.
As minority guests, this experience raised serious concerns about fairness and respect. Management has been notified, and I hope this is addressed so no other guest is treated this way.
