Room was clean and nice, staff was also accomidating. The parking is horrific. Having to pay for parking at a hotel you are already paying for feels like a crime. Not only is that extremely inconvienent, the parking is very expensive at $42 per day.

Good location, within a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive of everywhere we wanted to go. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. No noise problems. Breakfast was delicious. Parking was on the expensive side, but that’s on par for downtown Nashville. But we have a Tesla and the superchargers were super convenient in the parking garage. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again.

I had a great experience at the Hampton Inn Downtown! Megan, who works in the restaurant, was knowledgeable, personable, and provided excellent service. She made the dining experience feel warm and welcoming. It’s always nice to encounter staff who clearly enjoy what they do—thank you, Megan, for making my stay even better!

I was grateful to stay 4 days at this upscale hotel which is spotless, inside & out. Cheerful, helpful staff at the front desk and the hardworking crew that maintain the notable cleanliness of the hotel, it was the friendly staff who ensured my stay was enjoyable. One in particular, a African-American lady with a delightful smile and lighter, straight hair pinned up welcomed us like family every time we entered, engaging us in kind conversation.
Colorful accents in the bright, clean lobby and rooms, with a well-equipped (for a hotel) gym on the 10th floor, as well as a rooftop pool (not heated, but in full sun), and an indoor rooftop bar with indoor and outdoor patio seating, and sometimes featuring live musicians.
My room on the 6th floor was larger than average and felt luxurious with updated touches and furnishings. A nice desk allowed me to accomplish work in comfort, while my bed was wonderfully comfortable with a perfect balance of firmness and softness in the matress! The pillows too had multiple opportunities to find the ideal balance from firm to soft. I was surprised to find no Gideon's Bible anywhere in the room. There was a small kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee-maker with a separate sink and granite countertop. The shower has heavy glass barndoors, excellent temperature control for a hot shower, and a showerhead with various spray options. A small closet offered the iron/ironing board for dress clothes, which I appreciate. My room overlooked the parking garage below, and had a little downtown view in the distance. I can't overstate what a wonderful job the staff does keeping the hotel clean and in fine shape! Even in the breakfast area downstairs, multiple staff were kindly coming to wipe tables when guests were through dining.
The hot breakfast is pretty extensive from cold cereals and hot cereal (oatmeal) with available toppings, bread, scones, and bagels to toast with butter, jelly and peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, and pans of scrambled eggs (or on other days the folded omelets) alongside pork sausage, chicken sausage, and bacon. Two separate waffle irons with two flavors of batter with complimentary toppings of whipped cream, butter, strawberry compote, and syrup. Delicious offerings. Fruit juices, cool water, yogurt, and fresh fruit included bananas and apples. Hot coffees and water for tea or hot chocolate, too. Around the corner, on the far side of the lobby (beside the printer/business center) are restrooms and a water fountain which offers a filtered water tap for water bottles! If needed, there's a small 'market' with a few food and drink options behind the front desk.
The neighborhood around this Hampton is very pedestrian friendly with a Publix supermarket and multiple nice eateries within a block or two, down 11th. It was less than a mile to walk or uber to downtown, which my group and I did each, multiple times. My only surprise, and this was sadly throughout Nashville, was the unwelcome cost of parking - EVERYWHERE, including at this wonderful Hampton. It was $42 a night to keep my vehicle in their clean, well-lit garage. This was some impetus behind our choice to walk & Uber, but we still had to afford daily hotel parking, run by a separate, private company. And every parking transaction is done over your phone which I found problematic compared to a system where you use a credit card and have a paper ticket to park. Contactless payment isn't always best, and I thought upstanding businesses, including this Hampton, would validate parking and not support the ridiculous racket of parking in Nashville.
Overall, the hotel was amazingly pleasant and comfortable. Five star guest service and experience. Keep up the great work, Nashville Hampton team.

🏨Nashville Girls’ Getaway: Great Accommodations at Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Capitol! 🍹
My friends and I discovered the perfect stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown Capitol — a stylish, value-packed oasis just a short stroll from the legendary Broadway Street.
🛏️The Stay Begins: Location, Value & Surprises
With the bustling events in town, hotel prices soared — but this Hampton Inn still offered good value given its prime location. About a 15 minute walk, and you're right in the heart of Nashville’s vibrant scene. Parking was a nightly fee (covered, near the entrance), which was a fair trade for convenience during a busy weekend. When I walked in, wow — it’s clear the hotel’s been recently remodeled; everything felt fresh and modern!
💎Diamond Member Perks & Room Upgrade Magic
Pro tip: If you're a Diamond member, ask at check-in about room upgrades. I did, and luckily, they honored my request! Upgrading from a standard room to a King Corner Suite was one of the weekend’s highlights — spacious, luxurious, and perfect for our girl gang to relax, sip wine, do facials, and catch up in style.
🧇 Comfort & Breakfast
The large suite was comfy and perfect for our girl time — I loved having the extra space. The complimentary breakfast was quick, easy, and perfect for kickstarting busy Nashville days.
🌇 Rooftop Bar: A Stunning Surprise!
But the star of the stay? The rooftop bar! This was my first Hampton Inn experience with this feature, and it’s an absolute game-changer. Relaxing with cocktails under the Nashville skyline? Yes, please! 🍹The friendly staff served up delicious seasonal cocktails — truly a craft experience. We visited every day, often claiming our favorite spots to unwind and soak in city views with good friends.
👍 Pros:
- 🏙️ Prime downtown location, walkable to Broadway.
- 🛌 Spacious, remodeled rooms with great amenities.
- 🍹 Unique rooftop bar with stunning views and tasty seasonal cocktails.
- 🥐 Quick and satisfying complimentary breakfast.
- 💎 Excellent Diamond upgrade opportunities.
👎Cons:
- 🚗 Parking is an additional fee, which adds up during busy weekends.
- 🕒 Some noise from the nearby events — pack earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
This Hampton Inn & Suites exceeded expectations — it’s not just a good value but a fantastic experience, especially with the rooftop bar and upgraded room. For a fun, central stay with friends in Nashville, I highly recommend it. Whether you’re here for the music, the food, or just some well-deserved girl time, this hotel has your back. Can’t wait to come back and relive yet another Nashville adventure! 🎶🎸
