The reason for the one star, is because the staff were so rude and so disrespectful that I have no other choice. To be clear, the location is fine, the rooms are not terrible, but the service was so bad that I'll never come here again. We drove all the way from Florida, and got our stuff to our room on the top floor. The first thing we noticed was a terrible smell of burning food, that seemed to be from the microwave. It was strong and all throughout the rooms. We decided to open the window and overlook it for then, but the next thing was that there was no hot water in the suite. So, we informed DJ the guy at reception, and he gave us another room on the same floor. The water was hot, but again there was a terrible smell also from the microwave in that suite.
We left our things in the room to go ask DJ if we could switch rooms. He got angry with us and criticized us for leaving our things there in the room, which he found inconvenient. He glared at us from behind his counter because we had interrupted his cell phone call to ask for help. I told him that he had a nerve to blame us for the problem and he started to get quite nasty about it.
We got another room and everything seemed to be okay. Then, the next day we got home and our keys to our room didn't work (because DJ didn't set them up correctly.) We went to get this sorted out, and DJ was busy with another customer who had been overcharged by hundreds of dollars. After waiting patiently for quite some time, I waited for a pause in the conversation and informed DJ that we were locked out of our room.
He quickly started a verbal fight with us about this and stated that he would not talk to me for the rest of my stay.
We got access to our room, and then the next day, the same thing happened again and we had to deal with another member of staff, but it wasn't DJ, it was someone who knows how to act like a human being.
I emailed management and tried calling them but I got no response. We felt like hostages and that DJ was some kind of bully that we were cornered by. It is not just his fault, it is management's fault for placing this evil person behind a desk and for hiding when customer's have problems like this. I will never set foot in this "hotel" as long as I live.

I am currently on a business stay for over three weeks at Staybridge Suites Murfreesboro, and I have encountered several serious management issues.
First, my original room was infested with ladybugs, and I had to personally catch over 20 insects before a room change was finally arranged.
More concerningly, while I was out for work on March 12, the hotel staff processed an unauthorized automatic checkout without any prior notice. Despite my active long-term booking, staff entered my private room in my absence, packed all my personal belongings, and removed them from the premises. During this process, all items in the refrigerator and freezer were removed and left out to spoil.
When I returned from work, my key card still granted access to the room, but all my possessions were gone. The management admitted this was an operational error. However, the unauthorized handling of personal property and the resulting loss of food items are unacceptable for a professional lodging establishment. I am sharing this to alert other long-term business travelers.

We arrived at this hotel at 11:30 pm this past Thursday night and were told by the front desk person that they had no rooms available and that his boss told him not to book anymore rooms. The young man at the counter was dressed in jeans and a ball cap and when I asked if I asked if I could book a room through a third part he just shrugged his shoulders. He was not professional. Didn’t have any concern for me. No name tag. I went outside and got a room through Expedia and then came back in to let him know we had a room reserved, but we spent the next 1/2 hour waiting for him to confirm even though I had a receipt via email. He had to call his manager twice and then found out it was a mistake he made. No apologies. He was unfriendly and barely spoke to us. Breakfast was not great plus there was a hair in my scrambled eggs and they were cold. I would not recommend this hotel.

We checked into the hotel and about 30 minutes after getting settled in at this hotel, two men tried to beat/kick our door down and were screaming threats to my family. They literally broke the security latch that was screwed into the wall. My husband had to put all of his body weight against the door so the guys didn’t knock it off the hinges. The guys were threatening us with violence the entire time which was at least 5 minutes straight. My kids were in the room and are traumatized due to this. I called 911 immediately. The receptionist didn’t pick up when we called to report someone screaming in the next room but he did pick up the first time we called when we had an issue with the room. Shortly after I called him, this occurred. He called back as soon as the officer went down to talk to him and when we spoke to him he said he couldn’t help it if “kids were being kids”
These “kids” were definitely at least 19-20 and they also assaulted another person on the elevator as stated by the hotel manager. It seems like this was an inside job. I would never stay here again and please think twice if you have a reservation here…it is not safe at all. Please sort the reviews lowest to highest and see that there is an issue with non-hotel guests coming in and please know that there is no security here to help you and no workers to assist if you’re in danger.

Wanted to stay here as we have 6 in our family. We are platinum Elite members so can get a free upgraded room. Staff and managers didn’t know this I had to email them the benefits for platinum elite. Even then with a room available they wouldn’t do it because it was a 2 bedroom and only wanted to give me a 1 bedroom. Every other staybridge has given us the upgrade. This manager must have been to high on her horse as this costs her nothing since no one was using the room and no where in IHG does it say we can’t upgrade to that room. Super disappointed but I guess if you want an upgrade and to be treated well as platinum or diamond don’t go to this hotel!! She shouldn’t be manager if she doesn’t know how IHG benefits work!
