We’re staying in the hotel tonight because it’s too late to move to another hotel. We are booked with friends and have three rooms total. We checked into the first room and the room was 81°. We turned on the air conditioner thinking it had been turned off to save energy. Within a couple minutes, it had gone up 4°. We called down to the front desk multiple times, but did not have anyone able to come up to the room so we asked to move rooms. She moved us from the 11th floor to the 12th floor (away from our group) and told us that she had upgraded our room. It was the exact same room but it had air conditioning so we were fine with the change. However, there are nails sticking up out of an incredibly worn threshold! My husband accidentally stepped on one of the nails and punctured his foot. I went to the front desk immediately after I bandaged his foot (late- close to 11:15pm) to let them know (and to ask for more than the 2 towels in the room and for handsoap as none was provided in the bathroom). She informed me that she did not have anyone checked in to that room and the computer had us in a room on the seventh floor. She said the room we were in was not upgraded and that she would change the room to reflect the key card/room that my husband and I were currently in. I asked her what could be done to resolve their situation and she said she could have maintenance come in at 7:30 in the morning to fix the threshold. I asked her if we could have it done later and she said that was fine and when I asked for a manager‘s information, she gesture to her phone and said that she didn’t have a current number and that the managers at this hotel did not have business cards available. She told me his name was Benjamin. Our friends had an issue with their shower where they let it run for 15 minutes and it never got hot. However, they were able to get resolution to their issue when the maintenance person relent a pilot light or something to that effect on the roof and was able to get the water heater working and they now have hot water. I would NOT recommend staying here, there are many other options that are close to this location.

As an IHG Platinum Elite member (and previously Diamond), this was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve had. There were multiple service failures throughout my stay: First, the air conditioning in my original room was so loud that I couldn’t sleep. I called maintenance several times and no one ever came. I was eventually moved to another room, only to experience the same issue again. Maintenance did come the second time, but the fix was only temporary and the problem continued. The most unacceptable part happened on my last day. I was explicitly guaranteed a 2 PM late checkout. When I returned to my room before that time, I found housekeeping inside and my belongings had already been packed without my consent. This is completely unacceptable. Not only was the late checkout not honored, but having hotel staff go through and pack a guest’s personal belongings is a serious breach of privacy and basic service standards. As a loyal IHG customer, I expect far better execution and respect for guests. This experience fell well below expectations, and I would strongly caution others staying here to confirm everything twice and not rely on promised accommodations.

The water in the shower would not get hot, and the A/C couldn't keep up making it too hot in the room and a difficult night of sleep. The hotel is one of the "rougher" Holiday Inns I've been too. Positives were the valet and check-in staff were polite and check in was easy. The location made walking to FedEx Forum easy. I wouldn't stay here again because I don't think the negatives are something that can be fixed without some major upgrades/renovations.
