I booked this hotel in April for my annual weekend in the december St. Jude marathon, and it is a few blocks from the start. When I arrived at the hotel the door was locked, and a security guard had to come badge me in, at 5:30pm December 5th, the day of my check-in. When I walk in, two people were working the front desk and advised me that my reservation had been canceled. They also stated that I should have received communication via my bbooking. That my reservation had been cancelled two weeks prior because the government took all the reservations. I could tell they were just following what they were instructed, but unfortunately none of this was true. They recommended 3 hotels that were 25 minutes away, because this is one of the busiest weekends in memphis. I reached out to my travel agent and was advised that it wasn't canceled unto the morning of December 5. This was the worst experience I have had in my extensive travels. I dont know who the GM, can't seem to find anything. But I am highly frustrated with the whole experience.

Love Love Love!!!! This hotel was everything! The staff… ALL of them were top notch! The retro decor was sublime. Parking garage was convenient. Walking distance to Beale street and other amenities. Can’t wait to go back!

Terrible Experience – Last-Minute Cancellation and No Compensation I had an awful experience with this hotel. They canceled my reservation at the very last minute, just before my arrival, without offering any proper compensation. Instead, they suggested a cheap motel that costs barely half of what I originally paid, which is completely unacceptable. This kind of unprofessional and irresponsible behavior completely ruined my travel plans. I booked well in advance and trusted that the reservation was guaranteed, only to find out that the hotel didn’t honor it. There was no apology, no refund adjustment, and no customer care at all. If you’re considering staying here, think twice. This hotel clearly doesn’t respect its guests or commitments. Absolutely disappointing and not worth the risk.

Very rundown area. Didn’t feel safe. No food but they give you a 15% voucher for the biscuit and jam cafe next door. The breakfast was not good and cost nearly 60 dollars.
