Rooms are way to small to put double beds in them.

Not used to hotels with no refrigerator or microwave in room. However, there was a microwave in the lobby. Killed 4 small spiders in my room, probably from construction being done,on floor 2, stirring them up. Called down to front desk 4 times, no answer. Had to walk down to ask my question. Bed was comfortable. Shower leaked all over floor, even with doors completely shut. The room next door, had a toilet plunger sitting in front of door, open to the carpet. No trashcan in room, I feel sorry for housekeeping. This is a $50-60 a night hotel, not a $130.00 a night hotel. I can't believe Hilton actually owns this hotel.

Desk clerk couldn't give us any recommendations for dinner. Room was FREEZING when we went in. Hallways and room smelled like old foot odor. Elevator room buttons out of order. The property feels dirty and I didn't want to take my shoes off in our room. TV didn't work. Will give credit to the employee who tried four remotes before deciding the issue was with the TV but couldn't do anything to replace it as he told us no management was on site on a Saturday. Said he would leave a note with manager to call us to possibly issue a room discount. I hate to leave a bad review but in six days we've not received a call. We were sent an email asking if we'd like to speak to someone and we said "yes" but it's been crickets chirping. Very disappointing as Hampton Inn is our first choice to stay when traveling.

I will try to gracefully say, the only reason I have not rated this establishment a 0 stars is because there is no option to leave the items blank. My husband and I were given a turn around anniversary trip to Memphis by my parents, and upon arriving I had read the hotel reviews. Every review was true. When I walked into the hotel, the smell was not pleasant. Upon getting on the elevator, the floor was absolutely filthy, and at some point, I made it to my floor. True travelers can tell the difference between a can of febreeze being poured into the hallway to cover a smell, and a hotel that just has a 'clean' scent. I went into my hotel room and at first, I felt that one night might not be bad. I went into the bathroom and before I could sit down, I saw a bunch of mold with dead bugs in the corner of the ceiling just behind the door. There was paint peeling from the ceiling and it was more than obvious that the peeling wallpaper was just layered with more peeling wallpaper to try to 'fix' the area up. I then moved over to the bed which seemed soft, but when I pulled the covers back, I saw a small dead bug which I believed to be a bed bug. I called my husband immediately and told him we would be switching hotel rooms. He said he felt that was best, as he hadn't event made it to the elevator but was turned off by the appearance of the hotel. I went to the front desk and showed the receptionist the pictures of my room and she just nodded her head and refunded the money for our stay. This hotel needs to truly be renovated and I would not recommend a stay here until that happens. Seriously disappointed.
