If I could leave less than one star I would. My first misgiving should have been the parking situation. They charge a daily rate for parking but it’s not secured despite the fact there are bolsters that come down by they are apparently broken or just unused. Once in our room our door wouldn’t shut properly we had to shove it open and shut. There was rust around light fixtures and chipped and bubbled paint in various places around the room and the bathtub had chipped paint. I could go on. We actually rented two rooms and neither were great. I paid a premium rate of $322 a night per room plus parking for two cars per day. I was upset and took it to management. Their only resolution was to give me one new room, which wasn’t any better than the other two rooms And $50 compensation.
I took the complaints to the general manager after our stay. Her resolution was to give me 2500 points which only equates to a quarter of what I paid per night. She refused to give me a refund, she refused to take it to leadership. I’ve had to reach out to corporate and guest services Who also don’t seem to care about guest experience. This hotel is in shambles and I’m astounded because I’ve had good experiences with this brand.

I stayed at this hotel during the St. Jude Marathon weekend, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had in years. From start to finish, the service failures, lack of communication, and lack of follow-through were unacceptable for the price I paid.
My issues began the moment I arrived. After multiple delayed flights and pouring rain, the shuttle driver was rude and impatient as I gathered my luggage. At check-in, the front desk agent enthusiastically promoted the hotel breakfast but never mentioned that it wasn’t complimentary. I later discovered it was a $20–$25 charge—information that should have been clearly disclosed.
When I got to my room, the toilet was broken and unusable. Maintenance was delayed because the front desk gave them the wrong room number. That same night, I discovered there was no hot water. I received a text from the hotel asking how they could make my stay better, but no one ever responded to my reply. Messages sent through Expedia also went unanswered.
When I asked about airport transportation, the staff only recommended a $25 shuttle or Uber and never mentioned that a free public transit option was just an eight-minute walk away. Either they didn’t know basic local information or chose not to offer it—neither reflects well on guest service.
Also the phone in the room did not work
So when I called down to the front desk, the agent would hang up on me. I had to go downstairs to have any type of conversation with the hotel staff
At checkout, the associate continued the pattern of miscommunication by repeatedly getting my room number wrong even as I was explaining my concerns.
I emailed management requesting a full refund due to the multiple service failures. Instead of addressing any of my concerns, the general manager deposited points I never requested. When I clarified that I wasn’t interested in points and asked who could assist me, the response suggested I should contact IHG Guest Relations if I “no longer wanted to deal with property management.” I followed up again for clarity—and never received a reply.
Overall, the customer service, communication, and attention to detail were far below what any traveler should expect, let alone during a major marathon weekend. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this property based on my experience.

Overall ok experience. Hotel rooms are a bit aged-but they were clean. Not too far from places to grab some food.

The room was excellent, but this place has issues. My stay was Wednesday November 26th.
1. Overnight parking is $22. How did I find out? Saw it on my credit card 3 days later. They never said at the desk during check parking was a paid amenity or how much. For $22, I expect the gates to be operating and not permanently open.
2. There was no luggage cart in the room. They did bring one up.
3. When I checked out Thanksgiving morning at 9:00 a.m., there was no one at the desk.
The room was excellent and the per night price was right. $22 for overnight parking is an absurd charge. I'm not surprised 20 or so guests Thanksgiving Eve, nor am I surprised the hotel has a less than 4 star rating. For a hotel with no amenities like a coffee shop bar or restaurant, I expect better out of Crowne Plaza.
