I log about 80 hotel rooms a year, sometimes more. I will forever say at the Embassy suites when I’m in Knoxville. They are on top of it, everybody was so nice, so helpful went extra mile! the room was perfect. I was there four days had the do not disturb snd Nobody disturbed me while I was working! close to great restaurants. Do not miss the Brass Pearl for oysters and martinis! Besides the fresh oysters, the lobster roll was outstanding, and only $26 which that’s a good price for good lobster roll. And the coffee shop downstairs at the hotel makes excellent Cortado’s and lattes’! As a former hotel clerk and hotel made, I just wanna say I really appreciate each and everyone of you!!

It’s a great location to downtown Knoxville. I’m a local. There are only 3 - 4 spaces to unload and leave your car for the Valet when you arrive. Make sure you are headed North on Gay street when you enter and park in the Valet parking area. If you’re headed South on Gay street when you enter the Valet parking area, they will make you turn around in the middle of Gay street and come in from the opposite direction. The GPS will normally have you enter the wrong direction for the Valet parking so be aware of that. It’s difficult to backup in the middle of Gay street and head North when you’re facing South, so I get why they do it but it’s rather annoying when you first arrive and happen to make this mistake. The Valet staff was nice, but there is no sign telling you this when you arrive. The breakfast is not bad, but the staff is unfriendly and rather rude. I don’t expect everyone to be super friendly in the morning, but I was told to “Use the tongs!” when I grabbed a biscuit from the warmer by hand, so use the tongs at breakfast or risk some slight aggression. I asked if they had a to-go box because I wanted to bring my wife up some breakfast to the room and he just nodded his head rather than just handing me said to-go box. I ended up just carrying her food up in one of the hard plates which was fine, but a little courtesy would have been appreciated when I asked about a to-go box. I asked for a late checkout the day before our stay and they told me 12 pm instead of 11 am while my friend and his wife who stayed the same night got a 1 pm late checkout when they asked. On a previous stay, I was told they ‘were full on late checkouts’ by the front desk. Not sure what that means but anyway I was denied a late checkout so I asked the day before on this stay and ‘sorta’ got a late checkout at 12. The rooftop bar is great and the bartenders were cool and nice. Definitely check that out. You have a beautiful view of downtown Knoxville and they have several fires burning which is really nice. The rooms are spacious and well kept with a hot shower. The digital key works reasonably well and you can share it with others so they can get in the room, but my wife was unable to open the door after I shared it with her. That wasn’t a huge bother for us but if you’re counting on it then be aware and try it out first. All in an all, a good hotel but check around if you’re looking for an optimal experience. Maybe stay a few blocks away and visit the rooftop bar here at the Embassy Suites.

I’ve been staying here for work intermittently for the last two months. The establishment is nice enough to keep me coming back. The people are also kind. My initial stay here, David from valet was the first person I met. I checked in late in the evening and he helped take all my bags inside, gave dinner recommendations since I was new to the area & hungry, and also walked all the way back to my parked car just to retrieve something that I had forgotten. Every time I’ve seen him since, he’s had the same demeanor. Definitely deserves a raise.

Can’t speak highly enough of this hotel. Everything about it was great, starting with parking. They charge $35 for valet, but there’s a city garage a block away that’s free on weekends and only $7/daily on weekdays. There’s a bridge directly from the garage to the hotel. Location of the hotel couldn’t be more centralized, and the rooms were crazy nice. They have 5 high speed futuristic elevators so you never have to wait to use the elevator. Breakfast was great, front desk staff really friendly, there’s a coffee shop and a bakery shop in the lobby. Just perfect
