It is a Westgate property so there is a timeshare sales pitch. They wanted us to go to a free breakfast for several hours to get reduced price tickets too an attraction. They needlessly made you get a parking pass from the so-called concierge which is the timeshare salesperson.
For a so-called resort most of the buildings are motel buildings without elevators. They do not have daily housekeeping. They do not have secure access buildings so anyone can walk in off the street. The rooms are clean but dated. They have formica countertops. The shower head is too short for anyone taller than 5ft 7in. All rooms are adjoining and you can hear the neighbor through the wall. They have seven buildings the only ice machine that worked was in the lobby.
The location is absolutely amazing.
We have stayed many times and never had any problems. Location is great. So I had happy to book with them, for an extended weekend. We arrived at 4 o'clock on a Thursday and waited to check in, the staff was chatting about about "nails" and blah blah. I asked if I could check in she said she was going to be calling me up.
I finally got checked in to our, the room smelled dankie so I went to turn the air on it did not work, went down they sent someone up to fix it. We were given a different room a few doors down, like the room before it smell dankie but air worked. I woke next morning stuffy and chest was tight, thats when I remember "pet friendly" I asked the front desk if only certain rooms were pet friendly she replied no they all were. Well I am allergic to dogs and cats so that explains alot, I was sleeping with Fido and Garfield. We left early, I was tired of not being to breath. While the room was fairly cleaned it definitely needed vacuumed and mopped. The bathroom needed alot of work. But, I would just like others to know what pet friendly really meant. Pl3ase dont get me wrong, I love animals but, I like to breath..

Stay away from this place. We payed for a balcony and we did not get a balcony. On top of that our room was nasty, hair on the pillows, blood on the sheets, bed skirt hanging half way off the bed, sticky stuff on tables and on carpet. False advertisement at its finest with the pictures. After we complained the manager said oh I believe you I don’t need to see the pictures I know what room you are in?!?! What is that suppose to mean?!?! After we complained they also deactivated both of our room cards and ripped our do not disturb off of our door. This was our anniversary get away and we wish we would have took our business to Edgewater. It also says breakfast included and all it is is honey buns and coffee. Take your business somewhere else y’all and save your money! They were rude at the front desk also.

This is a disgrace to call a “resort”. When a first got to the hotel i was shocked to say the least. The check in was a disaster and the amount of things i heard going wrong with no hot water in some rooms and giant leaks in others, I was a little worried…little did i know. After we were told our room is in the convention center and the ballroom we hoped it would be pretty nice…walk in at night and it looks like FNAF backrooms. The elevator is creepy and the entire place smells HORRIBLE. There are stains on the carpets and the walls and the entire place smells like mold. We got to our room and the door was already open to greet us! Very welcoming place, as well as the bug infestation, just so comforting. If you ever get scared because it’s so creepy, don’t worry you can hear all your neighbors breathing through the walls! We barely slept one night and all woke up feeling awful. Could barely breathe because of all the mold and i’m worried bugs were crawling on me in the sleep. I felt itchy and disgusting the entire time I was there. There were fire alarms that wouldn’t stop beeping, and your room will have one towel if your lucky! Pulled down the covers to go to bed and found stains on the sheets and a USED DIRTY EYE MASK. We were there for 14 hours and checked out as soon as possible after an awful nights sleep. The front desk people were helpful and nice for the most part and definitely trying their best but this place needs to be shut down. The airbnb we moved to is like heaven compared to the outdated 1700s piece of crap I was stuck in all night. Honestly you’d be better sleeping with the bears at the lovely “river views”. I was warning people to run away when they pulled up to the check in. They overbooked the hotel, many people couldn’t get a room they booked months in advanced. Overall, if you are planning on staying here, you will be in my prayers now until I die.

Great location right on the river towards the beginning of the strip, but one road back. You're not directly on the strip, but its just right across the street and on the other side of a parking lot. Check in was easy, but the overwhelming perfume smell in the lobby made my eyes and throat burn. You have to go to a separate desk to get your parking pass, but they're more interested in selling you tickets to shows. Our room was on the third floor of the River Terrace building. Each building had its own parking area, which was really nice. Ours was up a small steep hill, so we found it better to come in from the entrance to the hotel next door, but we were able to park right outside our room door the whole time. For our needs, the room was fine. Beds were clean and comfortable, we had plenty of towels(even some extras under the bathroom sink), the refrigerator was nice and cold, the microwave and TV both worked well. There was an electric fireplace that worked, but I was too nervous to use it. Nice dresser for storage(I never use them but it was nice), and there was even a spare blanket in the top drawer. We had our own little balcony facing the river, with a great view of Anakeesta to the left and of course mountains on the right. They allow dogs, which is one of the reasons why we picked it, but there are VERY few grassy spots for them to do their business. Only flat spot is by the main office, the other 3 small spots are on hills that can make walking difficult for you and your four-legged family members. Floors weren't horribly dirty, but they were definitely in need of a good sweeping. Bathroom, especially the tub/shower could use some updating and maintenance. Tub floor had black streaks, there was mold on the shower curtain, and the shelf/ handle area had some serious stains. Having one sink in the bathroom and one outside the bathroom made getting ready much easier as we didnt have to wait for one to be done. Heated exhaust fan was nice to have on the chilly mornings. Bathroom door was torn up quite a bit at the bottom. The door to our room had a sizeable gap that let in quite a draft, but the heater worked well and kept us warm. There was an adjoining room door, but it appeared to be sealed shut. On our last day(11/1), we had gone out exploring and came back to our room keys not working. Older lady at the front desk was very helpful and got them working again. However, while waiting outside for my daughter, as staff member who was driving the courtesy van, walked by us and took a picture of my dog without asking. I told him he didnt have the right to do that and should at least ask first. His exact words to me were "You'll be fine". He was very rude and even tried to say he wasn't taking a picture, but he came right up to us with his phone pointed right at my dog (we were just standing at the entrance, it wasn't as if there was something going on behind us). I went back into the lobby to inform them about it and the younger lady behind the counter seemed like she agreed he was out of line, and went out to talk to him, but nothing really was done. (She put her hand up and said "Ma'am I'll take care of it.)
Over all, this was not a bad place to stay. The location had us right were we wanted to be and the room served its purpose. Don't expect to eat breakfast here, as they only offer "grab and go" and coffee. For what they charge for rooms, powdered eggs and waffles isn't much to ask for. I wouldn't say there was anything here that was worth the $1100 dollars paid for it. I've stayed in rooms for 80 bucks a night that offer more. And the interaction on our last day definitely left a sour taste.
