  I made a reservation today for next week through their website. A technical glitch made the reservation for today instead of next week. I tried calling the hotel multiple times and no one would answer the phone. I tried calling IHG customer care and was advised I would have to call the hotel. Very poor level of customer service from Holiday Inn Express and IHG.

  I did the timeshare thing and I was aware of paying taxes for the stay and the 25.00 hold on my credit card, what I was not aware of was the location fee and the fee to use the mini waterpark. It would have been nice for the front desk person who checked me in to make sure I knew of all charges. Also right outside my room was a major leak from the ceiling, they fixed it pretty fast.

  Was this location under a bit of construction, yes. However, that didn't interrupt any of the enjoyment or kindness we experienced. From the front desk gentlemen to the breakfast crew, everyone was pleasant & approachable. The rooms were clean, the pool area was fantastic, the breakfast was varied, hot, & delicious, & the location was convenient to walking the nearby shops. We don't travel much, however the past two nights solidified that, if a cabin isn't on the radar for a Gatlinburg stay, the Holiday Inn Express definitely is an amazing option! We stopped in Gatlinburg to break-up a long drive from a family visit. The water park area brought much needed playfulness for all of us, young teen boys & Mom. We felt relaxed & refreshed as we left for the rest of our travel plans. The only recommendation I would like to offer is a hot tub. A hot tub would definitely be an additional bonus to a traveler's relaxation. The powerful hot shower worked just fine after an evening of water slides though.

  The hotel staff is absolutely wonderful. Thomas, Lance, and Marcus at the front desk go above and beyond for awesome customer service, A+. The rooms are top notch, perfectly clean and hot water pressure is great. The complimentary breakfast is so tasty with a variety of options! I guarantee there is something everyone in your family will love. The pool is amazing and so clean! Our kids loved the waterpark-style area. It's great for grown ups too! This hotel is within walking distance of Gatlinburg's downtown strip. We made the 1/2 mile walk with 4 kids down to The Village. Perfectly doable, even with multiple strollers and small kids. The bottom line: The hotel staff make the stay above and beyond enjoyable with top-notch customer service. You can call the front desk and a staff member answers immediately, ready to answer any questions or bring up extra blankets and towels. We will be returning!

  Primo location, great customer service and clean, comfortable rooms! Our son had a killer time at their waterpark pool. Will come here again!
