Went to a timeshare meeting at this location for Hilton grand vacations. The main sales guy we worked with, Trevor, was decent. But the manager that had to come over to “approve” a non-sale had a nasty and rude attitude. She got emotionally charged and ill-tempered. If you can’t explain the benefits of something without getting short-tempered and trying to pressure-sell by being demeaning and disrespectful, odds are it’s probably not legit. Predatory lending and sales tactics abound here. I’m sure the property is nice enough, but if you’re looking here for reviews on the grand vacations side of the house—buyer beware. There’s a reason there are so many issues, lawsuits, and resale concerns with timeshares. The sales pitches are definitely built to persuade, and if you aren’t savvy in your finances, they’ll try to take advantage of that. All of this occurred after getting double-charged for a room and spending over an hour on the phone to resolve. After getting the double-charge resolved, Hilton staff was short and continued to blame the issue on the property, and that it wasn’t a Hilton issue. Yet the Hampton inn is a “Hilton property”. Hilton has gone down hill rapidly, and any company who doesn’t stand behind their own properties is not a company I care to do business with in the future. Lacking integrity. Rude and uneducated sales tactics. Recommend sales people get some education on interest rates, amortization, compounding interest and investment before they try to talk down those who are fiscally responsible. A little respect and humility go a long way. Telling the customer “this isn’t my first time around the block, you just can’t see the value in it when other people do”, while also in the same breath saying that investing the $50k plus you would spend on vacation points, just isn’t seeing the big picture and it’s different “pieces of pie of money”, is really great. Also, advising that getting a loan to pay off a debt for buying $23k-50K of vacation “ownership” is how a lot of people do it, is wild work and 1,000% not the way to financial freedom which actually allows you to enjoy vacations. I’m sure these are great opportunities for some, but when they say at the beginning, it’s ok if it isn’t for you, be prepared for the theatrical presentation on your road to “no thanks”.

The customer service at check-in was really good. The problem was when I pay for a hotel/resort. I don’t like spending the next 30 minutes trying to get upgraded to come sit through a timeshare presentation. If the room was given to me for free, I would understand it and accept it. But after paying for a room and then getting a hard sell I found it very off-putting. Hilton Do Better.

Had a time share presentation today with them. Brian the “closer” I guess was disrespectful. I get it. No pressure to buy. But when he started going into a whole thing about how me not becoming an owner would not change his life in any way shape or form, going into detail about how he would continue to go on with his day, explaining to me his whole afternoon plans, playing battlefield 6. Super disrespectful. There’s no pressure and then there’s taking little jabs at people.
