How are you going to charge for parking without telling me? Who has time to read fine prints?

I spend 100+ nights per year in all levels of hotels and maintain diamond status.
We're middle aged, not high maintenance, travel to Gatlinburg a couple times each year.
Additionally due to my industry/company, I was required to travel during the entire COVID nightmare. I totally understand the challenges and changes the pandemic brought to hotels and have a great deal of respect for the hospitality industry as a whole.
However negative, my experience & review is honest.
Check-in; lady with the Jamaican accent was not friendly; provided no information about the property (except breakfast) nor did she recognize my diamond status until I forced the topic. She assumed I had a car which I did not. I told her I didn't need a parking hang tag and she took attitude thinking I meant I wouldn't pay for parking..
The $15.00 per night for parking is nothing more than a scam!
The hotel is at least a half a mile from town with tons of parking spaces. The public lots in town are $10.00 to $20.00...
Room was minimally furnished.
Very dark to where it's impossible to get any work done.
Bed bouncy and loud; pillows all too small for a king size bed and lumpy.
Week TV reception to where channels would drop out.
In my 8 days I only needed/asked for the room to be turned down twice and neither time was the floor cleaned or bathroom cleaned.
Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn, very basic with nothing interesting or local.
Check-out; two people at front desk and no one would acknowledge me. I waited 30 seconds and finally said can someone check me out. I was asked for my room number and absolutely nothing else was said to me or any eye contact made.
At $190.00 per night, not a good value or at the Hampton Inn standard that I know and expect.
Experiences like this make me question my Hilton brand loyalty.

It's ridiculous to charge $15/day for parking, when the location is at least a .5 mile walk to the nearest section of the main Gatlinburg strip. There is plenty of parking in the large lot so it's not a space issue, and cheaper parking can be found directly on the main strip so it feels like a major scam. Once you factor in the parking fees you could spend about the same and stay in the much nicer Embassy Suites next door.

Horrible customer service got sick because you can have dogs in any room almost got attacked by a bear. Feels like I’m in a dungeon stinks scared for my life that I’m not gonna get shot and couldn’t fall asleep put us right next to the laundry closet where it also stinks. The weight room is a total scam and has nothing to offer. The pool was closed. Place sucks never go here ever.

We should have known from the minute we walked in this wasn't for us. We booked and paid in advance but had we known PARKING was a extra fee we would have never stayed. In nearly 40 years coming to Gatlinburg we have never had to pay to park at a hotel we were staying at. Never will again ill make sure first. We waited forever it seemed to check in because there was only 1 person checking people in. Room was very small and uncomfortable, only a desk chair to sit on besides the beds.
