Hilton Garden Inn Clarksville – Very Disappointing Stay
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. The entire place was under construction, which was never clearly communicated ahead of time. The constant noise, dust, and overall disruption made it feel more like a job site than a hotel.
The bathroom flooded, creating a mess and obvious sanitation concerns. On top of that, the soap dispensers in the bathroom were broken, and the bathroom lights flickered, which made the room feel poorly maintained and uncomfortable.
Amenities that were advertised were simply not available — there was no gym and no laundry, which was incredibly inconvenient for a longer stay.
To make matters worse, the entire place smelled bad, including the hallways and room, giving the impression that cleanliness and upkeep are not priorities here.
Overall, this stay did not meet Hilton standards at all. Between the construction, broken fixtures, missing amenities, and cleanliness issues, I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

We stopped here on our road trip, and while the rooms were nice and clean, the hot tub was closed and when we came down for breakfast, it was all cold, all the guests were confused at the lack of silverware and hot breakfast, and we had to ask for silverware. Then they brought us a bill for $10 each for cereal and a piece of toast. Turns out they had never put up the sign saying the breakfast wasn’t free. So we ended up having to pay for a ridiculously small cold breakfast.

Looked really outdated, shower had black mold on ceiling, bottom of shower was awful
Smelled weird. Fitness room was typical of hotels, but most machines didn't work. Front desk never answered the phone for a request I had. Renovations were going on, but no clue where. The towels were really soft, lobby area was very nice looking. Don't judge this hotel by its lobby behind it is sorely lacking. For a Hilton property I was very unhappy.

I wish I had listened to the other reviews before booking. This property is extremely run down and calling it a “4-star hotel” is false advertising. The building shows years of neglect, and nothing about it feels updated or maintained. The “pardon our mess” signs would make sense if renovations were actually happening, but they’re not.
My room had an uneven floor, cracked foundations, and stains on the walls. The hallways had an “industrial chic” look that was really just black grime. It felt unsafe, especially knowing moisture was likely causing the uneven flooring.
The only positive was the night check-in staff — the gentleman who brought extra pillows promptly was kind and attentive. Unfortunately, that was the only redeeming part of our stay.
The beds are outdated and unsafe. My 6-year-old tripped on the uneven floor and scraped his chest on the corner of the bed. So that was great.
