If I could give this place -5 stars, I would.
My experience here was absolutely disgusting. My husband and I stayed here over the weekend for work and were both bitten by BED BUGS — on our hands, face, and arms. The room was filthy, one of the main lights didn’t work, the fridge was broken, and the bed bugs were the final straw.
We ended up leaving in the middle of our stay because it was that bad. To make matters worse, our clients who stayed at the same hotel were also bitten up, and instead of properly handling the issue, management just moved them into the room next door — right beside the one that was infested.
There’s absolutely no excuse for how this was handled. The lack of cleanliness and responsibility from staff is beyond unacceptable.
Save yourself the headache, the bites, and the disgust — 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I’m giving them 3 stars begrudgingly. If you haven’t booked a room yet, pick somewhere else. If you have found yourself here, there are ways to make your stay bearable.
Recommendations to guests: request a new room if you find a hazard, utilize room cleaning services, bring slippers and febreeze, walk to nearby restaurants, keep showers brief, try the oatmeal, check out the library if you can’t sleep, and be friendly with staff and they’ll help you out.
From when I waited in line to check in, the staff seemed overwhelmed, but courteous and helpful. Maybe there are problems here that the staff don’t seem to have the support or numbers necessary to tackle, but every single staff person I interacted with made my stay better. They won’t send room cleaners up unless you ask for it. So ask for it!
My room smelled perpetually musty, and there was a big spill of cola or something down the back of one of the beds, on the headboard and wall. Every wall was grimy or dirty. The bed smelled like dust, and the pillow made my face swell up (i have a dust allergy).
The smell and sight of my room was so upsetting to me that I began to despair. I discussed with my party if we could go elsewhere, but we were there for an event across the street, and the other hotels in the area had long since been booked up.
I looked up the reviews, read the complaints people had, and decided I didn’t want to give up my bugless and moldless room. But I had little faith in the staff’s ability to see mess and clean it. I called down and asked if they could send me up a bottle of disinfecting or cleaning spray so I could tackle the problem myself. They sent a staff member up to clean instead, and he asked where the mess was. I didn’t think “all around us!” was a practical answer, so I pointed him to the mess behind the bed, which he cleaned. He was friendly and apologetic. My cortisol levels finally began to trend downward.
On my first night I coped by buying cleaning supplies and air freshener at the local grocery store, cleaning all of the depressing grime I could see, and then walking to Insomnia cookie. Nothing I did could fix the smell of the room. I opened the windows and slept with a bit of a cold breeze. I was surprised I was able to sleep at all.
I spent time in the day room to avoid the stink suite. Absolutely lovely day room. I love the 90s urbane look, and I got to eavesdrop on the staff; they were constantly busy. I took a video of a leak from the ceiling during a late night trip downstairs, but by the next day it was getting fixed, so I’m not gonna include that. It’s not really a neglect situation. I think the building is just old.
I tried to freshen up my room. The stove fan seems to have trapped 30 years of grease within itself, and it spewed stink. The curtains and the fabric of the couches retained the smell. I left the windows open as much as possible, didn’t use the hob, and sprayed my clothes with fabric febreeze every time I was leaving my room.
For breakfast, oatmeal lovers rejoice. You can load up on brown sugar, raisins, and walnut halves. For protein, there were boiled eggs and thin cut bacon, too, which I enjoyed.
If you’re on night one of an inescapable stay here, and looking for advice: Request help cleaning up any messes that are there when you arrive! If your room is hazardous— bugs or mold— insist on getting a new room. The grocery store nearby has every cleaning spray and air freshener imaginable. Eucalyptus and citrus scents helped me sleep. There are two windows in your room— open them both! Spend time downstairs and go out to eat if you can. The fridge is huge and can store many leftovers. If you fall into despair late at night, Insomnia Cookie is nearby. Insist on making your life comfortable here.
Recommendations to the hotel: have the room curtains washed, clean out or update the hob fans, add plug-in air fresheners in the hall next to the elevator on the room levels, and add “look at the walls” to the cleaning checklist. Maybe find time to ozone the rooms one by one.
