Good, last minute of overnight stay. Plenty of parking. 2 story outside motel style. OK breakfast.

As ascertized, this is a "low-key" lodging facility. However, it met are needs so well that we stayed coming and going on our trip. The facility is very quiet with easy interstate access and a huge Walmart Super Center close for necessities.

Our room was disgustingly filthy, grease on headboard, dirty bathtub, tape on wall, thick dust on lamp. There was a nasty smell that we were able to initially control with our own air freshener. Washer was broken (with a sign saying it was sick, pic included) and located outside where anyone could steal your clothes (had it actually been working), ice machine had been unplugged by manager/owner the day before our arrival. He later told me it was empty because the other customers had used all the ice. When the manager/owner/operator was confronted with these problems he claimed that we were trying to get a free night and were only mentioning his ‘mistakes’ because we did not like the price ($96). He shouted at myself and my girlfriend that we just didn’t want to pay for the room and we weren’t going to use the washer or the ice machine anyway, we were just trying to get a free night. He claimed he could do nothing about the problems because ‘he just worked there’. He chased me to the parking lot and told me to get out of his hotel. We left and stayed at the nearby Fairfield Inn. There was a funnel cloud in the area (within 30 miles south) the night we stayed 18 December, 2025. When we asked the owner/operator if there were any tornado shelters we were told ‘there are never tornadoes here’ when he was told to check the weather we were then told that there were no shelters at the hotel. He provided no instruction where one was available. Luckily, as it turned out, it was not needed. We had stayed at several (3 other) Best Westerns in Little Rock, AR, Pensacola, FL, Ft Meyers, FL during our 3 week vacation trip to the coasts of Florida and were happy with those stays. I had previously been happy with all of my stays at Best Western and felt it a good value with clean rooms. This one, on our return trip, has convinced us the name no longer represents ANY standards. Best Westerns corporate, on their web site, claims any problems are the sole responsibility of the hotel operator and they cannot do anything. We will never stay at Best Western again. After driving 9 hours to get to Chattanooga, TN from Port Canaveral, FL we are so wound up by this mistreatment we are still awake at 3am at Fairfield Inn (which has a beautiful room at a $10-20 increase in price) we have another 9-12 hours to drive tomorrow with little sleep. No one should have to put up with this foolishness when all they seek is a clean hotel with the advertised amenities.

Check in was simple and front desk person very personable. The room was clean and well decorated decorated but could use a few updates. It did seem odd that room choices were a king or 2 double beds with no queen beds avaliable. My only true complaint about the room was the pillows. Though there were 6 pillows, everyone of them were thick and firm. The filling was old style chunks of foam making them firm and lumpy. I ended up trying to use my coat as a pillow. Between that and the person in the next room snoring so loudly, I did not get any sleep. When we went to the lobby to checkout and get breakfast there was no one at the desk. There was a gentleman staying there who said he had been in and out several times and had seen no one. He had also said there had been someone trying to check in but had given up and left.
