->AMAZING hotel except for the prison-like shower<- I loved everything about this stay except for the shower which was worse than any on our 6 week north american road trip. Friendly check-in, nice lobby. Fancy coffee machine in lobby and wrapped cookies. Room was nice, clean, comfy. TV easy to use (which is rare) Wifi fast enough (23 mbps download/9 mbps upload) Included hot breakfast was amazingly attended and included: Scrambled eggs, ham, potatoes, waffles, bread products, cereals, fruit and all the rest. Gail, the breakfast attendant, did a fantastic job of keeping everything clean and topped up and fresh. She was very pleasant. And there was a small weird thing that happened when we were there at breakfast... One of the guests showed up for breakfast dressed like he just come from the pool (including bare feet) with loud music emanating from his pocket. Although the fellow was fine and extremely enthusiastic to find waffles, all of the guests that morning couldn't help but be described by his loud explanations and music. Gail asked him to turn down the music, and put on shoes, very kindly. The #1 worst part? The horrible shower. No tub, just shower. Ever been to prison? Well, then how about a trip down memory lane to the horrors of middle school showers after phy-zed class, eh? OMG. Terrible design. Not even one little shelf, hook or recessed area to place your little bottle of shampoo/razor/washcloth.... (I don't want to tell you where I had to stick the bar of soap when I was washing my hair!!!) I actually found dried up used old washcloths hidden up in the rings of the shower curtain and on top of the pile of towels (yes, other peoples used old washcloths - which they too had no place to put them, so they placed them there and forgot them - obviously housekeeping wasn't used to playing washcloth hide n seek) At the very least, install those pump bottles of shampoo so that's one less thing we have to try to hang onto in your horrible showers, for pete's sake. No matter how careful you were, water got all over the bathroom floor - then instead of playing "hide n seek" you got to play "slip n slide". Wheeee! Can you guess that I hated the shower? Anyway, that was the worst part of the stay, so really, all in all it was a good visit. I'd give a full 5/5 but that shower was the worst. Price on a weeknight in Sept 2025 was about $120 CAD before tax.

During a recent stay at the Best Western in Estevan, I had a good overall experience. The front desk attendant was very pleasant and welcoming, making check-in, and check-out a breeze. The room was a definite highlight—it was exceptionally clean, the beds were reasonably comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which is always a bonus. The hotel also features a small pool and a hot tub, which is great for families, allowing kids to swim while parents can keep an eye on them while relaxing in the hot tub nearby. The only real issue I encountered was with the breakfast service. The attendant was not very attentive, and as a result, the food was often low or completely unavailable. On our second morning, the breakfast service was closed down about 15 minutes early, preventing us from getting any food replenished. The juice also seemed to be watered down. With a bit more attention to the breakfast service, this hotel would be truly excellent. Overall, it's a good, quiet and comfortable place to stay in Estevan, with clean rooms and a pleasant atmosphere.
