  Came here as a first vacation with my wife and it’s two double beds and a tv it’s so in luxurious and we’re bickering instead of having fun .

  Spent the night on the 7th floor and it was freezing about 5am they offered to move us rooms from a double queen to king with my kids. After that we decided maybe to try a different room and floor something. Was put in a corner room and it was colder than the fist. Mind you they dont have a fridge so the milk we bought stayed cold by the window all day till we left. No offer on a refund or anything. After I told them about the 2nd room they said my dogs peed on the carpet and I know thats a lie, they were in a kennel and the first to leave. Highly dont recommend this hotel if your looking for something warm and that treats you like a diamond member I would go to best western on lacrosse.

  I stayed in a two-queen bedroom for two nights. While the sound isolation isn't the best (i.e., you can easily hear what's happening outside the corridor), the guests have been mostly quiet, and I haven't had any issues with noise during my stay. The room comes with a TV and a coffee maker—no microwave or mini-fridge, but that shouldn't be an issue since there are many restaurants around the hotel. The bathroom feels spacious. I didn't use the bathtub for a full bath, but I did enjoy the very hot water from the shower. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Rapid City. One of the selling points of this hotel is its proximity to Mount Rushmore. I didn't visit it, but if you do, it'll be a short 30-minute drive. Other tourist attractions, such as the Journey Museum and the Museum of Geology, are within walking distance (about 20–30 minutes on foot). There is an airport shuttle, but it costs $10 one way (as of Nov 2025). When I visited, this hotel was the most affordable option in town, even cheaper than Airbnb options. If you don't need to use a full kitchen, this could be a good option if you're staying in Rapid City.
