Got charged $60 extra for who knows what after we left? We were barely there for 7 hours. The bedding is like sandpaper. You’ll hear the highway but I will say it was at least clean.

With minimal furniture and LVP flooring, it should be very easy to keep the rooms clean. While our room wasn’t filthy, it was obvious there were things overlooked, like the (assumed) cranberries stuck in multiple spots on the floor. The obvious stains on the vanity shelf and the shower floor in need of a good scrubbing. With the type of styling this should be easy to clean for anyone giving just a little effort. Additionally, the breakfast area was not maintained. There was food everywhere and, again, a lack of minimal effort to keep things clean. There was no acknowledgment from the front desk despite walking directly past them to go in and out. It’s frustrating that hotel quality in general continues to decline.

- MRm riggsNov 8, 20251.0Room way over priced. I paid 141.00 including tax. Room was very spartan and had one chair with a small table to eat. Road noise very loud. Floor was not carpet but when walked on it with bare feet felt dirty. Bed was adequate as far as comfort . Shower was very poor water pressure barely came out. Staff at front desk ck in was nice but that is only nice thing I can say. The breakfast was absolutely horrible. Coffee bitter, pancake chewy and spongy, grits barely hot and lumpy. Egg omelet was like rubber and the orange juice should not be labeled orange juice . It had to be at least 2/3 water and if lucky one third juice. I don't know how could be called juice. The bacon was soggy. I know it could be better because I had just stayed 5 days at Hampton Inn in Washington NC also owned by Hilton and it was excellent. The breakfast was incredible the staff far superior to what experienced at Tru HIlton. I will not be staying again at this location or in fact any Tru Hilton if this is indication of what they provide.
