I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location is perfect- very close to downtown and easily accessible from the interstate. Easy to get into and out of. The manager who checked me in was a consummate professional; he even made sure that I knew when the hotel's current construction project would be working in case that might impact sleep schedule or anything. Very thoughtful. The room I checked into was clean, orderly, and had clean fresh linens. Unfortunately, I stayed for 5d/6n and housekeeping did not service my room during my stay. I had to request clean towels from the night clerk on night 4. The hotel is in very good condition and the desk staff are great. I see there are other reviews that touch on housekeeping as well. A retraining of that staff along with a clear scope of work and expectations/accountability would push this to a 5 star hotel overnight.

My husband and I went here for a night "away" together despite living close by. It was incredibly nice to re set together and have good conversation and quality time. The positive: the staff was very nice. The location was excellent- convenient to lots of dining, basic stores (Walmart, etc) and the interstate. The hotel wasn't very crowded, and the variety of breakfast offered was truly impressive, especially as it was free with the stay. The negative was that the upkeep of our room wasn't great- there was an issue with getting the bathroom door to close, there was a bottle cap on the floor of the room when we arrived, and the shower didn't appear particularly clean/ there was a lot of discoloring in the caulk etc. Also, the mattresses were terrible! Very uncomfortable- both of us tossed and turned all night and woke up with sore backs. Overall this was a positive experience for us to get away, but if we were to do something similar again, it would not be at the same hotel.

In reality the only reason this is 3 star review and not 5 is because during my stay I experienced somethings that caused me to leave a full day early and drive 9hrs through the night. (Never asked or received a refund but staff felt it was deserved) Front desk staff was very kind, understanding and embarrassed. I was assured I would receive a call from the GM. That was exactly a week ago and still no call.
