Starting with horrible customer service at check-in that included being chastised about being unfamiliar with my rental car specifics to then questioned about going out to eat when I was carrying in a box that the front desk man thought was food (when it was not.) The room itself smelled unpleasant upon entering. Then we saw how filthy it was. The wall closest to one of the beds had something on it, not exactly sure what it was. (Brown and dried dripping down in several places.) Carpet was stained red and brown with something. Found dead bugs in the corner of the bathroom. My bed had cigarette burns thru the sheets, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. It was not good! We just left (because we didn't want to have to deal with the mean front-desk guy!) Went across the street and stayed in a clean room. That hotel even felt bad about our situation and gave us a better rate. That is customer service! I do NOT recommend the Best Western Plus in Piedmont!

Last day of stay, front desk staff was rude and uninformed telling me she had no idea how to take payment. Parts of bathroom was unclean, but I was exhausted after all day conference plus the check in mess and cleaned it myself!

It looked great and when we entered the lobby it looked so nice and a nice young man greeted us we thought what a nice hotel. That was all a facade when we went to the room the hallways smelled so musty. When we went into the room it smelled of some coverup deodorizer, there was black mold all around the tub/shower and to top it all off there was no shower curtain. The phone kept blinking and I called downstairs to report this and was told to put a towel over it so we could not see it blinking. By now we had the creeps. I went downstairs and told the gentlemen behind the desk about the terrible room and he gave us a new room. It was right across from the other room. By now the hotel gave us the creeps. The new room had even more coverup scent than the last room but no mold we could see. The bathroom was missing grout in the tiles and the caulking around the tub and toilet looked like a three year old did it. The room was damp and smelly. Since it was late we went to bed and did not sleep very well between the dampness and smell it was a terrible stay. These people should be reported to the health department. Do yourself a a favor and do not stay at this hotel. It is an outdated slum hotel.

We had booked 10 rooms at a super great rate and there were minor complaints that was corrected immediately. I would definitely consider staying there again.
