Bathroom not working properly and overflowed on floor. Housekeeping should have seen that when they cleaned after previous guest and hotel should not have put us in that room. They finally moved us to another room, AFTER we had unpacked. We had to repack our things, move into a new room, and then unpack. It was the end of a long day and we we're exhausted. The hotel "awarded" us hotel points to use at a future visit--useless because we will not use this hotel again. They offered us a free dinner, but it was late and we has already eaten so we declined. The 2nd room we were in had a kurig to make coffe which requires kurig cups to brew coffee, however there where only pods of some sort which didn't fit the machine and made a poor cup of coffee which we couldn't drink.
Could not use room phone to directly call desk--only get AI response. Their computer system did not appear to be working properly when we checked in and took a long time to resolve it. When we checked out we couldn't get a printed receipt because desk clerk said printer wasn't working. Said they would email it to us. It is 3 days later and we still haven't received receipt. We booked this hotel because it's close to airport and has a shuttle service and complimentary breakfast, however, the shuttle service and breakfast start between 6 and 6:30 AM and our flight was at 6:00AM. We had to book our own ride to airport. If they advertise shuttle service you would think they would use airport times for convenience of guest. This is not a hotel we would use again. They staff was friendly but the actual hotel service seemed to us wanting.

Outstanding Service from Shaunna!
Shaunna, the Assistant Front Office Manager at the Embassy Suites in North Charleston, South Carolina, is truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless, welcoming, and stress-free. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail set a standard that is rare to find.
Shaunna handled every interaction with genuine care and efficiency, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just another reservation. She is knowledgeable, approachable, and clearly takes pride in both her role and her team. Her leadership and positive presence are evident and make a real difference in the overall guest experience.
If you’re staying at this Embassy Suites, know that you are in excellent hands with Shaunna at the front desk. She is an absolute asset to the hotel and a true example of outstanding hospitality. Thank you, Shaunna, for making my stay memorable!

The highlight of my visit was Shaunna, the front desk manager on duty. She communicated calmly and clearly with all guests, advising that requests would be handled in the order of arrival. She remained consistently kind, professional, and helpful throughout the evening, maintaining a positive demeanor despite the high volume of requests. I personally observed her assist multiple guests with grace, and although she was the only staff member at the desk, she managed each situation efficiently with the resources available to her.
While waiting at the front desk, I spoke with a current guest who shared that the hotel had been experiencing ongoing supply shortages throughout the week, as this had been his family’s home away from home. He strongly suggested that I consider finding alternate accommodations to avoid experiencing the same challenges he and his family had encountered.
Based on his recommendation and experience, I chose to stay elsewhere.
It is evident that the hotel needs to improve its supply management in relation to guest demand. Essential items such as sheets and towels were frequently requested but unavailable, which negatively impacted the guest experience. However, there is no changes needed for the level of customer service, as Shaunna was truly wonderful and exemplified exceptional hospitality. I just wish she had help!
TL;DR Stayed here for 4 days, never got a room cleaning and had to beg for basic supplies.
We are locals who have moved away but we still have family here so we visit quite often. We usually stay at the Embassy Suites in N. Charleston because it’s convenient to everywhere we want to go. This is definitely the last time we stay here. We arrived on a Saturday evening and got up early Sunday to eat breakfast and hit Folly Beach. We got back around noon to shower and go out to meet friends. We had the do not disturb sign up (just because we were showering) but got a knock on the door, asking if we wanted the room serviced. The person asked if we were aware that the door hanger meant they wouldn’t come in 🙄 We said we would be out in 20-30 minutes. After showering, we noticed the body wash was out. Also, we started with less than a half a roll of toilet paper and no spares. And no coffee! Got back that evening and nothing had been cleaned. Ok, we don’t expect every day but we are out of things. The next day, we went out for breakfast so left the room around 9:45. My husband got some texts from Hilton during the day to see how everything was so he explained what we needed. Got back that evening and no room service. At this point, we really need soap and toilet paper. He sends another message but nothing. When he goes to the desk, they say they are all out of shower soap for the whole hotel (so why didn’t they leave bar soap if they can’t refill?). He picked up toilet paper and coffee too. Tuesday morning we are up and out before 9am. Surely they will visit the room! We get back around 4:30 just to grab something and the cleaning cart is next door. Seems late! But no go. We go in and nothing has changed. Same trash. C’mon! Maybe we’re next. We head out for dinner. Get back at 7pm. Guess what!? Same trash, same towels, same unmade bed. We are not picky people but at this point, it seems intentional.

You couldn't pay me to stay at this hotel again. The only reason we chose to stay here is because of it's proximity to the convention center and it was free with points we had saved up.
For starters, the room was poorly cleaned and we had to call to have them service the room as soon as we checked in. Blood stains on the pillows, drink stains on the comforter, unknown dried up spill spots around the toilet, amd rust on the walls. Additionally, there was a significant amount of sand left in the tub from the previous person that stayed in the room. Furthermore, the toilet needed to be serviced due to it NEVER shutting off after it was flushed and then wouldn't flush again until after it was serviced.
Lastly, the restaurant, lobby, and bar area are a mad house in the evening. Thanks to the acoustics and layout of the hotel, you hear EVERYTHING going on in the lobby while in your room. Even late into the evening.
We usually do not stay at Hilton properties due to the quality of the hotels going drastically downhill over the last decade. This hotel is no different and only confirms why we will do our best to avoid them in the future.
