My stay overall was great, and Crystal was absolutely amazing.. warm, helpful, and truly made the experience better.
However, there was another staff member who left a very different impression. I was running late for my taxi and simply needed help getting my luggage. He was assisting another guest, which I completely understand, but when I politely asked if he could quickly help me, his response was unnecessarily rude. Also, I found out that I could have requested a late checkout, even though he told me otherwise.
A little kindness and professionalism would have gone a long way in that moment. It didn’t take away from the overall stay, but it definitely stood out in contrast to the excellent service from Crystal.

Evette at the customer service desk is so sweet. She is knowledgeable about things inside and in the area of the hotel. Sometimes I go to have a change in my environment. It’s like a private Oasis.

I'm giving this hotel a 1 because: Many of servers unhappy, and they look it. The service itself is provided with minimal effort. You too often get an attitude or redirection when you report an issue of any kind.
The food is ok, but definitely not worth the price. And drinks?... You'll pay as much for a single US domestic beer as you would for a six pack at a gas station.
The train horn noise from across the river is terrible!!
Then there is the KITCHEN EXHAUST... The hotel pumps their kitchen exhaust smoke directly into their back parking lot via a horizontal duct positioned maybe 20 feet above the ground, pointing downward!! The smoke fills the whole area! It's not only disgusting, it's DANGEROUS for people with respiratory issues, and toxic for everyone. By rhe way, if you are on the rooftop bar, the smoke will inundate you because the smoke also blows up along the hotel from winds. If you go up there and you have respiratory issues, I suggest you wear a gas mask. Seriously! I mean, how can the hotel get away with dumping their exhaust like that? It's got to be breaking public health, safety, environmental laws, and fire marshal requirements. Someone should report them.

I recently attended a private event at the Crown Plaza, Shelby was attending to our event, and went above and beyond in everything. Her attentiveness, hospitality and customer service was absolutely amazing. She was a direct part in what made our night so enjoyable.
