We absolutely love staying at Ocean 22 and will definitely be back — I just rebooked! It truly feels like a home away from home. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well maintained. I stayed on a lower level since I was traveling with children, and I appreciated that it felt safe and comfortable. The suites are perfect for families, and being directly on the beach is a huge plus. The location is great — very walkable to nearby restaurants and attractions. The property always feels safe, and security is visible and attentive. The heated pool is amazing, especially during cooler weather, and the outdoor bar by the pool is a favorite. I also love that the hotel has a café, two bars, and even a small grocery store inside — very convenient and reasonably priced. The kid clubs and guest activities really set this place apart. It’s also one of the few beach properties that had everything fully operational during the off-season, which shows their quality year-round.The only downside is the price during peak season, as it can triple — but overall, the experience is worth it. Highly recommend

First of all I am a Hilton stock holder, which concerns me. I have stayed at their properties for years, but they have lost touch when related to service. This experience with Hilton Vacation properties has been a nightmare. I would recommend you save your time and do business with someone else. I'm selling stock and moving on to other properties.

Update: reviews apparently are read and taken seriously. I was contacted by this Hotel and spoke to Juana. We had a very pleasant conversation and I was able to voice my concerns, which she sufficiently and professionally addressed and in an extremely polite and respectful manner. I will upgrade my stars to better reflect my overall satisfaction to date but will leave my original statement so those reading will understand. Original post: I stayed at this hotel for work the third week of February 2026. I was traveling for work and wasn’t staying for a vacation but taking advantage of being able to see the ocean and a sunrise while at the coast. My compliments to the concierge desk, the cleaning staff and the kind lady working at the coffee shop. The concierge engaged in conversation upon every occasion seen and my room was clean and comfortable. All of them should provide a courtesy/customer service class to the people working the check in desk! Typically I don’t have to worry about this part of the hotel stay process as I check in, select my room and obtain a digital key on the Hilton App. That isn’t an option at this hotel. I wish digital check in was an option, because it took over 20 minutes to check me into a room during the off-season. The reason for the delay was the Manager working the desk was determined to put me in a room they obviously assigned me earlier but the computer wasn’t cooperating. Instead of providing me with an alternative room immediately, after all I have been a Diamond Member with Hilton since 2019, she worked and worked to put me in this one room. When she continued to fail near the 20 minute mark she stated to her staff “I guess I will just have to give him a different room”. Sorry you had to provide me with better accommodations! I traveled all through the pandemic and worked during that “apocalypse “ for travel companies. Our company helped Hilton stay afloat with our loyalty and yet I am begrudged an upgrade that I didn’t ask for because your computer didn’t work. This may not be the case, but it is sure how it felt.

So let me start by saying this hotel was booked for my 60th birthday. Just my husband and myself. Upon arrival, we realized the hotel was under renovation. That would have been nice to know in the email confirmation. Our room was upgraded to a two bedroom condo, but we did not need that size room. Since it was just the two of us. Don't get me wrong it was nice. We kept getting black stuff on our hands and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. We finally found it. It turns out. there was still wet stain on the kitchen cabinets. We had to fix the refrigerator because it was rocking, we adjusted one of the legs. The king bed, we slept in squeaked every time you rolled over, because of the metal frame it was on. The t v in the king bedroom was not hooked up.We had to hook that up. The parking garage is 2 blocks away. They do have valet parking.

We recently stayed at Ocean 22 in Myrtle Beach and overall had a good experience, but wanted to share some feedback regarding an unexpected situation during our stay. On our last night, there was a power outage that affected not just the hotel, but a large portion of the surrounding area. We understand that this was not the hotel’s fault. However, the situation was particularly challenging for our family. We were staying on the 19th floor with three small children and a handicapped guest. Our dinner was in the oven when the power went out, leaving us without a meal and no immediate options. With the room completely dark and no way to prepare food, we ultimately had to walk down 19 flights of stairs to find dinner for our family. We stayed out for several hours until we could return to put the kids to bed, thankfully the power had just come back on by then. Again, we recognize that the outage itself was beyond the hotel’s control. However, we did feel that the situation could have been handled with a bit more empathy and consideration. Even a small gesture, such as Hilton Honors points or some form of acknowledgment of the inconvenience, would have gone a long way, especially given the circumstances. We appreciate the location and overall stay, but hope that in situations like this, there can be more support for guests navigating unexpected challenges.
