We stayed at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront for four days with our three children (6, 9, 11 yo), and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish.
The location is exceptional: direct beach access and that wonderful feeling of being right by the ocean all the time. The views and overall atmosphere are simply beautiful and very relaxing. Parking was easy and well-organized, which made a huge difference when traveling as a family.
The service throughout the resort was great, but an absolute special mention goes to Lindsay R. in the restaurant: truly outstanding service, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming! She made our breakfast extra memorable!
The breakfasts were of great quality, variety, and a perfect start to each day. Everything felt well thought out and professionally run!
The kids absolutely loved it. They literally want to stay 500 more days 😅! This is a place that works equally well for families and for adults who want to relax.
We’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

This was the sorriest experience I have had at the beach and that surprised me considering we're at the Hilton. I was quoted one price on the phone and was not told about the room damage fee I had to pay once there. Now they did wave my pet fee to try and offset the discrepancy but what I had on my card was supposed to cover the room fee and the parking and pet fee. Instead they had to charge me a damage fee and that left not enough on my card and I had to go into my cash to finish paying for the room. Then he tells me I might have to wait 3-5 business days to get my deposit back. This TOTALLY ruined our trip not that y'all care. Then we get to our room and the keys don't work bc the lock batteries are dead. And this room has one of the sorriest " full ocean view" I have ever seen. Also we then find out that the indoor pool is closed until the 28th and that's the only reason we brought the kids was to swim and the premium guest Internet is $5 a day. I haven't stayed anywhere down here that charges 5 a day to use the internet. I've stayed at the paradise usually ( which is where I'll definitely be going back) and the coral beach and both places the Internet is free along with a few other hotels. I will definitely NEVER return to this one again. Then AFTER we left my card was charged another 8.95 which I still haven't been told why. If I still owed money why wasn't I charged that night when I was upstairs complaining to the manager about the fees. The housekeeping staff was rude and seemed as if they didn't want to be there as well. As I stated before, we won't be back. And we stay at Myrtle beach every 3 months or so. I have NEVER given a bad review down here until now.

Avoid at all cost.
Was forced to pay $200 in hidden fees on top of my already paid for room when I arrived. No refunds allowed so couldn't go somewhere else.
I can hear the lyrics of the neighbors playing music. I can hear them walking around.
I could fit my fingers through a gap on the bottom of the door to the outside.
Go to an Airbnb instead.

We live here at the beach and visit the Double Tree on the south end at least once a week! The Ocean Blue lobby bar and restaurant never disappoints! Looking for a quiet place with the best view of the ocean in town - this is it! We had Lindsay R wait on us for breakfast this morn and she did a great job! If your local they even give you a 10% discount - just ask!
