Place under construction, biker gang was there and no breakfast. Motorcycles kept us most of all night. If they had told us ahead of time, we would give this Hampton another shot. Won’t be back.

I had been driving for hours from New Jersey, completely exhausted, with my 5-year-old child in the car. When I arrived, the front desk receptionist told me the system was down and would take about two hours to come back online. Because of that, she said she could not check me in and suggested that I try the hotel next door. P.S and… to make my life more difficult, he said that if I had booked online I would have to wait until 3 pm to check in, thank God I didn't Anyways… I immediately told her that I wasn’t going to stay at the run-down place next door, which looked unsafe and surrounded by people of questionable behavior. I explained that I had a young child in the car, I wasn’t going to risk that environment, and that I specifically wanted to stay here because I have Hilton points and trust Hampton by Hilton. Disappointed, I told her I would try to find another Hilton instead. And guess what? Suddenly, as if by magic, the system came back online at that very moment and—surprise—she was able to find me a room. 🤔 Later, I looked online and discovered that the “bad hotel” next door is also owned by Hilton. It seems the strategy is to first try to push guests into that property, and only if they refuse, suddenly a room becomes available here. This is deeply disrespectful, especially toward a tired mother with a child after a 10-hour drive who only wanted a safe and decent place to rest. The employee clearly underestimated me. She doesn’t know how to lie very well—you might want to find someone better trained for that skill.
