  The best place to stay in Greenville. Close to all shopping, the staff is phenomenal and extremely friendly. Plus you are very safe.

  Fantastic experience. Located downtown. Walking distance to Liberty Bridge. Plenty of restaurants within minutes. Clean rooms and public spaces. One of the friendliest staff I have encountered! Highly recommended!!!

  Our family of five travels a fairly good amount and has stayed in probably 30 Holiday Inn Express hotels over the last decade. That being said, we wanted to share an honest review of the HIE in downtown Greenville, SC. Being a group of five people means we need a suite wherever we stay, and HIE always offers excellent options. Here is an honest list of the positives and negatives of our stay this week. Positives: -HUGE suite room with two QUEEN beds plus a pull out couch -lots of free space in middle of room for kids to play -the staff were very kind, from the front desk to the food service at breakfast -room had a coffee bar with microwave and mini fridge -desk area with comfortable chair and work space plus a good sized closet and plenty of surfaces to keep luggage off the floor -included breakfast had good options like always -the location is easy to find and accessible to lots of downtown fun quickly Negatives: -super hard beds, no bed bug covers -no extra sheets or blankets in room for pull out couch, we had to walk downstairs multiple times to get everything we needed. -the reason we were in the huge suite room is because our original suite room smelled strongly of marijuana due to smokers next door (we had to repack and move an hour after arriving) -our shower wouldn’t drain and progressively got worse until we finally couldn’t shower the morning we left -the bathroom counter was collapsing and leaning, and the bathroom was overall unclean and moldy in all the corners -the windows seemed to be inaccurately installed and leaked water in the sills the whole time (it rained consistently) -the elevator kept messing up and finally my family was marooned with our luggage for twenty minutes waiting to check out We usually enjoy our stays at HIE and try to share truth in our reviews. It’s sad that this one didn’t live up to the level of cleanliness that others have. We will still try to stay in well-reviewed HIE hotels in the future, and hope this one will make the necessary updates to their cleanliness and technical needs. I am giving this three stars overall because of the staffs kindness and location. Everything else would have merited less stars overall, and we will not stay at this location again.

  I’m in Greenville for the week for work. I was staying at a different hotel but after going here to do some work and interacting with Nathaniel I promptly switched hotels. Nathaniel, Rodney and Caitlyn provided the best customer service I have experienced in a hotel. They were warm and happy and infectious. Thank you for a great stay. Anytime I’m in Greenville I will be staying here
