This hotel is in a great location in Greenville being right off of the Swamp Rabbit trail. We enjoyed parking our car and having everything to include restaurants and shows within walking distance. There was a minor issue that we brought to the attention of Trey and he quickly resolved it to our satisfaction. Our room had a great view of the city, the suite was nice because I wake up early and read. The breakfast is better than a typical breakfast you would find compared to other Embassy Suites hotels. Far more choices that I am accustomed to and the chef at the omelette station was very friendly and cooked my eggs perfectly. I will say the welcome reception was underwhelming. The food was gone within the first half hour but the reception was well attended.

The location was great, which was the main positive of our stay. Unfortunately, the room itself was very worn and uncomfortable.
The mattress was so badly sagging that we had to sleep with our heads at the foot of the bed just to avoid feeling inclined. The sofa was heavily worn, torn in places, and appeared dirty. The suite layout was also awkward with nearly half of the separate living area was taken up by an empty kitchen space with only a tiny counter and mini-fridge, which felt like wasted space rather than an amenity.
While the room was technically “clean,” it didn’t feel truly clean. There were dusty areas, and much of the seating looked so worn that it appeared dirty. I chose not to raise these issues during our short stay because I didn’t want to spend limited family time dealing with complaints and getting shuffle around.
Positives: The evening reception was a nice touch an kids enjoyed the pool.
I shared this feedback privately as a followup and was told the hotel plans to renovate soon. That’s good news for future guests, but given the choice again, I would stay elsewhere.
I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I hope this is helpful for others considering a stay.

First of all, I need to start the review by mentioning the staff. Back story (AND SPOILER for kids), Santa "gifted" my kids (ages 11 - 3) with a weekend trip to this hotel. I emailed the staff and asked if there were any recommendations of bakeries, I wanted a treat from Santa in the room when we arrived. Lots of recommendations were given and they pointed out that the bakeries might be closed because of the Christmas Holiday. I am glad they mentioned that! I ended up sending a box of iced cookies from a bakery near our hometown. The staff not only put the box in the room, but added more snacks and a note from Santa as well! My kids thought that was the coolest thing. I was so impressed they did that for us. They went above and beyond. We truly were touched by their kindness.
The hotel: Modern and beautiful. Didn't realize there was a pay to park deck at the hotel. But it wasn't terribly expensive and we never struggled to find a parking spot. Breakfast was great. Kids liked the waffles and pancakes. They had an omelet station which seemed very popular. Get down there early if you have a larger group and want to sit together. The room was very spacious and clean. Lots of room for the kids to spread out. Bathroom also large and nice.
Town: Greenville was beautiful. Food and shops are in walking distance. The bridge and falls are right next to this hotel. TONS of parks in the area. We drove to a couple because we didn't think the kids would want to walk as far as the adults would.
This trip was magical and we are already planning a return visit and will absolutely be staying here again.

If you leave a suit jacket and tie in the room closet, they will keep it. Mine was reported the next day as having been left in the room. Instead of simply sending someone to get it, they have you fill out some form on a 3rd party website that gets ignored for 3 weeks, then when you call and tell them that, they say they will have housekeeping check and never call you back. Why the 3rd party website? They don't have their own e-mail account to use? Why not just send someone to check the day it's reported? Never staying here again, they have no customer service and really don't give a _. Reference Confirmation #84242499.
Follow up: No record??? Now you're just lying, I actually gave the confirmation number!!! I'm the husband BTY, so the first name is different. Additionally, you DON'T make every effort, you make NO effort, that's the problem. I don't need shipping, etc. from your 3rd party website. I am 30 minutes from Greenville, would've just came and picked it up. The 3rd party website is useless when you ignore it for weeks.

Management
I was extremely disappointed to learn that the hotel’s General Manager, Nicole Zimmerman failed to tip a delivery worker on a $500 catering order for the hotel’s Christmas party. During the holidays especially, service workers rely on tips as part of their livelihood, and choosing not to tip on such a large order shows a lack of respect and appreciation for the people who make these events possible.
This reflects poorly on the hotel’s leadership and values. Hospitality should extend beyond guests to everyone involved in providing service. I hope ownership addresses this and ensures management leads by example moving forward.
