My husband is disabled(can't well maneuver the left side of his body after a stroke) and I'm heavily pregnant. We booked almost two months ago for a king-sized bed because we have a queen at home and wanted to be able to spread out comfortably. We were willing to pay to treat ourselves in this small way before our third child arrives. Well, we checked in and were told our room wasn't ready. When we came back to the hotel, the desk clerk informed us that they'd given our room away to a family with children because the "system overbooked" and she figured we'd be alright with that since it's just us two. So no one called us to ask if we'd be alright with this. They just gave our room away after we'd already checked in and confirmed our room. And the refund we were given was a mere $20. We slept in a bed smaller than the one at home. Cramped together hitting each other all night whenever we shifted in bed. We tried to be nice about it but it's deeply unprofessional and insulting because we took a trip that we won't be able to take again for a very long time and basically had our plans changed without regard to our personal reasons for wanting what we paid for. We honestly think that our room was given away out of pity and not because it was truly necessary to do. And then when we checked booking prices again, the rooms were cheaper than what we paid. So we should have gotten a better refund than we did. The bed was clearly not even a true queen. Either way, we weren't given a choice, and received compensation that didn't even soften the blow. Twenty dollars? In exchange for a full night of horrible sleep and pain for the disabled guy and the pregnant lady. We have experience traveling with kids. That family could have easily fit in the room we were made to sleep in.

I've stayed here several times when attending the SCCTM, math conference. The rooms are nice and always clean. The staff is very kind and helpful. The location is great because it is near the mall, convention center, restaurants and shopping. If I need to stay in Greenville again in this location, I'll definitely be returning.

No Smart TV and they made me pay a deposit even though this room is under my company name, and that usually isn't typical. Most Best Westerns I have stayed in have smart tvs. Now I'm not sure if I can watch my game. Very disappointed and I know they will loose business bc of this. Every Marriott I've ever stayed and has Smart TV And have never had to pay a deposit. I think I'll suggest my company switch to that chain.

I stayed at this hotel in South Carolina for a business trip, and it was hands down one of the nastiest, most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had with a hotel. The first room smelled awful — like something died and someone just sprayed air freshener on top of it. I asked to switch rooms. The second room had thick dust everywhere, mold inside the AC, and mold creeping along the corners of the floor. I requested another room, but instead of helping, they told me maintenance would “check it out tomorrow.” Spoiler alert — no one ever showed up. When I followed up, they told me to grab Windex and disinfecting wipes from the gym and clean it myself. I’m sorry, but I paid for a hotel stay, not to clock in as housekeeping. While cleaning just to survive the stay, I found mold under the kitchen sink, chipped paint, mold in the bathroom, and even mold spots on some of the furniture. The kitchen area looked beat-up and dirty, nothing like the pretty photos online. Whoever took those pictures deserves an award, because the reality is straight-up catfish. I would’ve checked out sooner, but I was traveling for work with a ton of bags and no easy way to move everything again. Still, no one ever offered another room or a real solution. The staff acted like it wasn’t a big deal. To make things worse, when I called customer service afterward, the only “resolution” they offered was a measly 10,000 points — which equals about $50. That’s insulting considering I spent over $500 to sleep in filth and breathe in mold. This hotel used to be decent, but now it’s completely gone downhill. Between the odor, the dirt, the mold, and the lazy management, it’s clear no one cares about guest comfort anymore. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else — this place isn’t worth your health or your money. In response to the owner. Oh don't worry, it's your hotel. Just to clarify - the "kitchen" area I mentioned was actually a wet bar setup inside the suite (sink, counter, mini fridge). I've uploaded photos with my receipt confirming this stay was 100% at this property. So before management keeps denying guest experiences, maybe start addressing the health and cleanliness issues that guests are paying full price to deal with.

My husband booked this hotel and during our stay, I killed two small bugs in the bathroom in the middle of the night. I didn’t know what they were but I mentioned it to my husband and the next night after being gone all day and getting back, he killed two more and confirmed they were roaches. We didn’t want to drag our sleeping one year old back out to find another hotel to sleep in so we stayed and checked out the next morning. There was another roach in the room that night and in the sink in the morning. We mentioned the roaches when checking out and were told that maintenance would be notified, as if it was a regular thing. After seeing the online reviews, I see it was a regular thing and wish I had read the reviews myself and stayed clear. The hotel itself is very nice, but nobody wants to deal with roaches.
