Front desk, super helpful Room, very nice Location, water front with beautiful view and steps away from multiple shops and restaurants. Will be back! Update, Dropped the 5 stsr rating because of the LOUD hvac will not stop. Called the front desk. They told us they didn't know how to shut it down and that some people liked the white noise. The hvac system is on OFF. Total BS

We had phenomenal service with Hunter at dinner and the sweetest note and champagne in our room. The view from our balcony room was absolutely beautiful. I’m hoping we can return for our next anniversary!

We sat outside and drank wine and ate charcuterie! What an amazing, relaxing, wonderful place! Bacard was at the front desk and treated us well! The beds and room temperature were perfect! We will be back!

The design is thoughtful with hints of IKEA-meets-her-Lowcountry-interior-designer-aunt. There were nice touches such as the Saratoga water & Malin+Goetz bath products. The hotel is relatively new but doesn’t seem to have a regularly-scheduled maintenance/housekeeping schedule. Our room’s carpet had multiple, large stains, there were scuff marks on the walls, and the fabric headboard had a small blood stain. Mentoring of staff in thoughtful communication with guests (such as a warm welcome upon arrival and a good morning from housekeeping in public areas) would elevate the experience. Overall, The George is on its way to becoming a memorable property and is a great addition to the Hammock Coast!
- JJJaneDec 31, 20255.0This is our second visit to the George and it only got better! We rent two rooms as our daughter was with us and they turned out to be suites with panoramic water views. Beautifully decorated in a sophisticated coastal style, the main lobby and public space are clad in pecky Cypress. It's breathtaking. We had a wonderful dinner at the Independence. We plan on revisiting for my birthday in late May. !
