I stayed one night at the Home2 Suites by Hilton on Daniel Island and had a very comfortable, positive experience. This appears to be a newer property, and the room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully laid out.
The suite-style design really stood out. The room included an almost full-size refrigerator, full-size microwave, dishwasher, kitchen sink, plates, bowls, utensils, and kitchenware. There was also a Cuisinart coffee maker and a paper towel holder in the kitchen area — a small but extremely practical detail that more hotels should adopt. A curtain divider separates the living/kitchen area from the bedroom, which made the space feel more functional and private.
Lighting throughout the room was excellent, with multiple lamps and fixtures, and several outlets included USB and USB-C ports, which was very convenient. The hair dryer was stored neatly in a bathroom drawer rather than wall-mounted, another thoughtful touch.
I checked in at the front desk and had a great interaction. The staff member was friendly, welcoming, and professional, and the check-in process was smooth and pleasant — a strong first impression that really set the tone for the stay.
Overall, this Home2 Suites delivered exactly what I expect from the brand: a clean, modern, well-equipped room and good service. I would absolutely stay here again, especially for a longer visit.
This property stands out as one of the best Home2suites that I have stayed at not only because it has a great location but also the people that work here. There's a gentleman that works here by the name of DeMarco that has to be one of the nicest people that I have not only met in the hospitality business but in general.
I decided to give this hotel chain another chance; especially since their overall rating was much higher than the H2S that I rated in Columbia, SC.
The hotel is located less than a quarter mile from the Interstate.
Christmas decor and a smiling face greeted us upon arrival.
Roughly an hour or two after check in, I received a text message asking about my experience thus far. Through this form of communication, any questions that I had were addressed.
The only concern that I had was that I was approved for a late check out via text; but that information wasn't cascaded to the front desk.
Housekeeping knocked on the door while resting, and I received a call asking if I extended my reservation.
Upon sharing info about my approval, they quickly apologized and I was able to rest a little longer.
They also located a lost item that I discussed with the Assistant GM before I left.
Overall, I felt safe, comfortable, and enjoyed my stay at Home2 Suites, Daniel Island.
Ben at the front desk was super helpful and Demaro was great too!
I had to basically live here on and off for Nov while I was in for business trips. No real complaints about anything based on my experience; rooms were as you'd expect and the amenities were wonderful!

Horrible experience just trying to check in to the hotel... was traveling for work and booked this hotel through the Hilton website. When i got off the plane, there was a voicemail waiting for me that my reservation was canceled due to plumbing issue, and a new reservation created across the street.
When i got to the front desk, the guy said they overbooked the hotel, and moved me to the sister hotel, and they would be happy to "walk me over there". After asking to speak to a manager, as i was traveling with a co-worker and could not be at two separate hotels, this guy tells me the manager that made the decision, is not there, and they overbooked by 1!!!! and i was the one! even though other people have not checked in yet... there was nothing he could do. When i mentioned the voicemail about the plumbing issues... he said "oh yeah... that too". it was clear he actually could not care less. if i could leave 0 stars for customer servic
