  I use this place whenever I come home to see my parents. It’s honestly great and freshly remodeled- Laura was super great to me the whole time. I basically live in and out of hotels across the United States year round & every day that I was here for over a week - turn down service, trash service, fresh towels & more were offered to me. That level of service is much more than even some “luxury hotels” offer Clean rooms - hot showers - great staff What else could you ask for ? Thumbs up for this place

  I’m conflicted on my review because my overall experience was good but my traumatic experience was horrible. So I was awaken by a kid who came into my room via a connecting door that I assume was not locked and I didn’t think to check when I checked into the room as I never do. It was late at night around 1am when I heard something sounded like someone trying to enter my room and I jumped up and said “this room is occupied” needless to say the person kept trying to open the door and the next thing I know the door opened from the side connecting room door and I was flabbergasted and a child appeared from behind the door and started coming towards my bed as I sat there in total shock and I began to tell the child you cannot be in here. Thankfully the child was smart enough to understand what I was saying as she turned around and went back into her room and closed the door and immediately went to the door and locked it. I couldn’t sleep the rest of the night I think I may have gotten an hour of sleep later into the night but when morning came I reported it to the front desk. She told me I should be traumatized as she would be if she was in that situation. I just think what if an adult had come into the room with ill intentions or what if I was not a good person and something happened to the child. There are a lot of ways that night could have gone. Management should absolutely reach out to me after this post.

  DO NOT STAY HERE. I booked this hotel while in town for a wedding. I was hesitant after reading several negative reviews and noticing that the hotel appeared outdated and overpriced ($218 per night), but since there were only two hotels near the venue in Columbia, I decided to move forward. Unfortunately, I had a family emergency early Saturday morning and had to check out around 9 a.m. to travel back to my home state. I had only checked in the previous day after 3 p.m. On Monday, I noticed I was still charged for both nights despite leaving early. After contacting Expedia, they reached out to the hotel on my behalf regarding a possible refund. The hotel responded that because my reservation was prepaid for two nights and they were sold out, no refund would be issued. While I understand policies, the lack of empathy and flexibility in an emergency situation was extremely disappointing. A gesture of understanding or partial credit would have shown basic compassion and professionalism. Charging a guest for a night they did not stay—under unavoidable circumstances—is unfair and unacceptable. As a teacher, every dollar matters. I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable, only fairness. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for decent service, understanding, or value for their money.

  My son and I stayed at this location for our recent trip to South Carolina for the OU-Sourh Carolina football game. We couldn't have been happier with the convenient location, or how clean and neat the site was. The service personnel were friendly and inviting, the room was spotless, and the simple breakfast buffet hit the spot Saturday morning! We were a mere stone's throw away from a nice local shopping and restaurant area and seconds away from the interstate. It was a *perfect* spot for our weekend stay.
