  Everyone was so awesome! Front desk & housekeeping, I’m giving you 10 stars! It’s like we already knew each other! Definitely recommend HIE Downtown!

  Been staying at this location for a few weekends. The front desk staff was very professional and resourceful. The room was very clean city view was excellent. We have had many chances to walk to coffee houses which were within walking distance.

  Recently had a week stay at this location. I was a little skeptical based on exterior, but pleasntly surprised by inside and room. Had an updated and modern feel. Room was a little small but made good use of space and had microwave and mini fridge. Room smelled and looked clean. There were a lot of interesting eating spots within walking distance and location has a limited menu you can order on site. This location had daily housekeeping automatically if you wanted it. A con is that they dont have continental breakfast and there is no onsite parking and Parking was 19.00 a day. Overall, enjoyed my stay and stay here again

  Rude and dangerous! My college age daughter was leaving a social event last night and needed a ride home. Cell service was not working in the event so she walked across the street to the Holiday Inn to see if her service worked there so she could order an Uber.She explained to the lady at the front desk that she was trying to order an Uber to pick her up and that her cell service was not working. The lady not only said she could not use their Wi-Fi but needed to leave the lobby. The lady at the front desk insisted she leave the lobby, knowing that she did not have a ride and made her wait outside in the cold and dark. This is not only extremely terrible customer service, but also putting a young college girl in a bit of a dangerous situation. Do better!

  I had a very negative experience at this Holiday Inn location in Columbia. I attempted to speak with the manager to explain a situation involving my company credit card. The company I work for frequently uses hotels like this due to their convenient locations, and I was trying to be transparent and proactive about a temporary credit limit issue that is outside of my personal control and depends on corporate processing timelines. Instead of working with me professionally, the manager was rude, dismissive, and threatening. Was also sent to me via email with a time-sensitive demand for a response, even after I explained the situation clearly. The lack of professionalism, understanding, and basic customer service was very disappointing. Business travelers should be aware that situations are not always handled with flexibility or respect here. If you run a business or travel for work frequently, I would strongly reconsider staying at this location. You may not be treated fairly or professionally when issues arise.
