This extended stay pet friendly hotel is located off of I77, just minutes from downtown Columbia, University of South Carolina, South Carolina Fairgrounds, Riverbanks Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Colonial Life Arena and CAE. We are a short drive to the Shaw AFB, McEntire National Guard Base and Fort Jackson. Please note that we are not located on base. We are also close to Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Providence Hospital and Dorn Veterans Hospital.

- FWFrancis WashingtonNov 9, 20252.0When I’m in town, this hotel is convenient, so I stay here often. Usually, I overlook the small issues because it serves its purpose. However, today’s experience was the worst I’ve had here. At 10:54 AM, the housekeeper knocked on my door and asked if I was checking out or staying another night. I told her I was checking out and planned to leave at 11. She then replied, “Well, what time do you think it is now?” I said, “The clock in the room says it’s ten minutes until 11.” She pulled out her phone and said, “My clock says it’s eleven.” I just shut the door because I wasn’t going to deal with that kind of attitude. I finished packing, went downstairs, stood in line, and checked out. As I was leaving my room, she was already cleaning another one. I even said to her, “It’s eleven now.” There was absolutely no reason for her to act that way. She wasn’t waiting for me—I could see she had plenty of other rooms to clean. My receipt shows that I checked out at 11:04 AM, which is hardly unreasonable. IHG, your guests should not have to deal with disrespect or attitude from staff, especially over a matter of just a few minutes past checkout time. Guests deserve courtesy and professionalism, not pressure to leave early.
