Do Not Trust This Hotel With Your Belongings
I am extremely disappointed in my experience with Hilton Garden Inn Aiken about the lack of accountability and trust when it comes to "misplacing" personal belongings.
Approximately 30 minutes after checking out, I realized my airpods were missing and immediately called the hotel to report it. I provided all requested information and was told someone would follow up if they ever came across them. No one ever did.
Weeks later, I checked find my iphone and saw my airpods clearly located at someone’s home address. I reached out to hotel management and received no help, they actually didn't follow up at all.
After following up again, the airpods quickly re-appeared at the hotel. I was told, “We found them! Want them back?” regardless of the fact that someone else had been using them, which raises hygiene concerns since they go inside your ear. When trying to come to a resolution, I was met with a rude response, no accountability, and zero attempt to reach a solution. No offer to clean them, replace them, or take responsibility for the mishap in any way.
Oh and to add context, my last name was printed directly on the case, so there is no mistaking these for someone else's.
This experience has completely depleted my trust to stay in this hotel. If you value knowing that your belongings will not grow legs and walk off the property, I would strongly reconsider staying here. Mistakes happen, I get that, it's how they are handled that is most important and this ball was certainly dropped.

Well I am in my second room here at the Hilton Garden Inn as I type this review. The first room smelled so bad I just couldn't stay in it. I was going to check out but was offered this room. TV is broken and the rooms with an 11 are right next to elevators and they are loud! I work for a big company in Aiken and will make sure to steer my coworkers and visitors away from this location. Have to go back to one of the Marriott properties here in town. Just can't stay here again and I thought I found my go to hotel for my request visit to Aiken.
