The suites are spacious with a kitchen. Good for an extended stay. There was a self serve laundry on each floor, and they provide a couple packets of laundry soap in your room. We had a ticer view room. It was nice, but the hotel is not sound proof. Even on the 7th floor, we had a lot of traffic noise.
The hotel is pet friendly.
The breakfast is very basic and quite disappointing for the price we paid for the room. They picture bowls of fresh fruit, muffins, etc. But those never materialized. White and wheat bread were available each day, as were whole apples. They have a waffle maker. There is yogurt and dry cereal and instant oatmeal.
The location is great, with many restaurants nearby. An enclosed mall with lots of restaurants and a large movie theater (including Imax screens) is a 5 minute walk.
Parking is valet and costs $40/day for unlimited in and out. Costly but convenient. The cars are parked inside, though, so it's secure. There's a public parking lot across the street.
Beds are average as far as comfort. Shower had good water pressure.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The whole staff was so friendly and accommodating!
We were traveling with our kid, and they had set our room with a pack n play and a high chair, prior to our arrival - which if you’re a parent, you know how nice it is to not have to wait for a crib at 1 am lol!
Tiffany was the kindest soul we could’ve met during our trip. She was so nice to our daughter and gave us amazing tips (from restaurants to housing). We told her multiple times, but we want to say it here again, we appreciate you and your kindness, Tiffany! 🫶🏼
The valet people were also very friendly and quick with their help.
A few quick touch points:
- The breakfast is meh. The options are good, but the quality is not.
- The room was clean, even though it was carpeted room
- The bed (king) was pretty comfortable
- The room was equipped with enough kitchen utensils for us to cook. They also have a full size fridge, a VERY potent microwave, and a dishwasher!
- They’re still using 0/00 Zero Shampoo/Conditioner; which I find it VERY good
- They have high chairs on the breakfast area
- They only have valet on site and is a bit pricey, but there’s a parking lot right across the street
- The location is great! Close to everything in downtown
- The business room had a great WiFi connection and it had nice natural lighting

Love a place that has comfortable places to sit. Tons of variety in types of seating so you can get comfortable somewhere in here for sure. Literally right next to the bus like a 6 second walk to the cute free RIPTA trolley to Newport. Little balcony in the main dining area which seems like it could be cute in the warmer months.
Full sized fridge and most kitchen appliances available in the room. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to be allowed to have breakfast with the regular stay people when you’re an extended stay but I did try it one day and it was impressive! DIY Breakfast burrito options. Make your own waffle machines. Yogurt station (with nice yogurt brands) SOO many toppings; fancy healthy ones like flax seed and a cereal station. Every kind of juice, I was told by someone else that they also change the special thing for breakfast regularly (probably the Mexican theme burrito station) and keep the staples (bagels and cream cheese and waffles, etc)
We did not bring ours but other people seemed to bring their dogs with them to this hotel ; I forgot to ask but it seems to be pet friendly but may just be a certain area of the hotel or something.
It did get a little loud when they were plowing the snow outside and I had to change the temperature of the room so it would make white noise for me to kick on the heat. I did sleep through most of it though

I am currently staying at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in downtown Providence due to a flood in my home, and this has been one of the most frustrating hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
Everything about our stay is being handled through homeowners insurance, yet the hotel staff—particularly management—has shown a complete lack of communication, professionalism, and respect. We are occupying four rooms, which should reasonably allow for four vehicles. Our insurance company confirmed they would cover parking for the first three cars. A fourth room was required due to a child placement through DCYF, which naturally required a fourth vehicle.
We were told multiple times that management—specifically Brian and Denise—would follow up or make accommodations. That never happened. No calls back, no solutions, and no accountability. Instead of helping during an already stressful displacement, the front desk and management created additional problems and confusion.
For a hotel that advertises extended stays and support for families in difficult situations, this property fails miserably in basic communication and customer care. I would strongly caution anyone—especially those staying due to emergencies or insurance claims—to think twice before choosing this location.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We are only staying here because our home was flooded and this stay is being covered through insurance. From day one, it has been nothing but stress.
The front desk manager, Denise, has been extremely rude and unprofessional. Despite repeatedly explaining that our stay is insurance-paid and that we are not responsible for a daily deposit, we are being called every single day demanding payment that we should not be responsible for.
On top of that, we have four vehicles, and the hotel refuses to allow us to park all of them, even though this situation was explained upfront. Two of our vehicles are constantly being threatened with removal, adding even more stress to an already difficult situation.
This hotel has shown zero compassion or understanding for guests displaced by a disaster. The lack of communication, constant harassment over deposits, and disrespectful behavior from management make this place an absolute nightmare. I would never recommend staying here—especially if you’re dealing with an insurance claim.
