  The website advertised "newly remodeled." Maybe downstairs, but certainly not the rooms. The furniture is old. The cupboard doors in the kitchenette don't stay closed. The rugs looked well used and a bit dirty in the hallways and elevator. The hallways were so overheated. On the plus side, the lady working the breakfast was busting her tail keeping everything clean and full after a group of girls and their families came in. The kids and families used that area for dinners as well, so I'm sure there was plenty to clean up. It looked like all was pretty clean. That woman did the work of 2 or 3 people. Good job on her. Those same kids used tge hallway and stairs as recreation. They ran up and down both the hallways and adjacent stairs until late at night then again in the morning. Apparently playing hide and seek or something. Scrappy 2 nights sleep. Tried to catch a nap in the morning to catch up, before a conference, and was woken up again. Lots of fun. I actually left a day early because I was so exhausted. I went downstairs to check out, but no one was at the counter. Sign said they were away. Left my keys in the key return. Room seemed clean. Linens were well stocked. They left 2 kleenex in the decorative box cover to make a design over an empty container. I had to get more downstairs. Lots of pillows and room with lots of light. Check in was nice and easy. Gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and efficient. The guy at the desk was nice enough when I needed something, but left all the papers and the sign blown around by the wind on the floor near the door. He was busy on his phone. Seems to always be the problem now. I stay at IHG hotels a lot. This one, while conveniently located, is not one of the better properties. It doesn't live up to the expectations when you read newly remodeled.

  Excellent stay! Clean rooms. Attentive staff. Breakfast was great in the am. Menard at front desk was so pleasant and helpful. Great location!

  I had a great and simple- no issues or complications- stay here. Check in was super easy and the staff was very personable. The room was clean and well kept. The night was quiet. There was plenty near by in the area and my drive into Newport felt as if it was right up the road. I also ate breakfast here which was great! They have a lot of well prepared options. And the breakfast staff member seemed to take great pride in his food and cleanliness. He was very kind as well. I will be coming back to this location.

  This hotel had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. Traveling with my wife and young daughter, stayed in a 1Br Suite with sofa bed. Unfortunately, we found this hotel’s condition to be a clear step below something like a Hampton Inn despite a similar price point. For instance, the room had gross stains all over the carpet, significant (and active) water damage/staining on the ceiling, and dirty overhead vents. Additionally, there were small details like a stained and uncomfortable sofa, very poor quality sofabed mattress that no one would want to sleep on, dingy bathroom grout, etc. I brought these concerns up to front desk on first day of my stay but was told there were no other similar rooms available during our stay. He said maintenance would stop by the next morning to observe the condition issues but no one ever came.

  This hotel is in a convenient location for visiting Newport. The room was clean and staff were kind. There’s fresh brewed coffee available 24/7 in the lobby, along with a complimentary breakfast in the mornings. Parking is free and there are plenty of spaces. It was a bit noisy in the hallways as people came and went, but nothing the tv sound couldn’t cover. We had a very nice stay and plan to be back.
