Bel hôtel neuf, avec tous les services. Lit supers confortables. Personnel sympathique et avenant. Belle chambre. Navette à l'heure, 15 minutes de l'aéroport.

Brand new hotel, the free breakfast was lovely. Just had unnecessary friction points the whole way through because of poor business and design decisions: We have two little kids, so we booked here because of the pool with the waterslide. But the pool water temperature is set about 5C too cold. The pool was full of kids who really wanted to be having a good time, but who all had blue lips and were shivering. I'm sure the hotel is saving a few bucks a day keeping the pool freezing cold, but come on. Also, instead of a hot tub in the pool area, they've installed a splash pad, which is completely mystifying. Splash pads are for cooling down outside in 35C weather, not for hotel pools where the water temperature is freezing cold. Nobody used it, but all the kids in the pool area loved pushing the button to make the water run, which made the pool deck area completely deafening with noise. Another reason we picked the hotel was because they have EV chargers. Sure enough, being a new hotel, they have an impressive set of 10 J1772 charging stations. Since parking costs $20, the assumption is that the EV charging would be free, which is pretty standard for paid parking lots, since charging an EV costs essentially nothing. Unfortunately, the hotel has farmed out their EV chargers to a 3rd party company, and that company has set the charging fee to about double the market rate for Level 2 charging. Charging in the parkade, after already paying $20 to park, costs almost as much as a level 3 supercharger. Street charging in downtown Montreal at L2 chargers costs half what it costs in this hotel. In the room: It was quite warm in the room, but the thermostat didn't seem to do anything. I dropped the temperature 2C before bed, and when we woke up the next morning the room temp hadn't changed at all. My last gripe is that the light switches in the room bathrooms are on a motion sensor, not a switch. So my family of 4 had a great time waking each other up all night as my kids got up to pee and everyone got blinded by the bathroom lighting. Not sure whose decision that was, but it wasn't a good one. What's wrong with a light switch?
