Had a nice stay here but the parking situation was confusing. Hotel parking was full so there was overflow parking at Complexe Desjardins, which the valet said we could validate in the lobby but then after waiting in line for 10 minutes the lobby told us we had to validate down in the parking garage. Note that the height clearance is barely 6ft so many SUVs won't even fit down there. Other than that the room was clean and comfy, the downstairs bar was serviceable although staff seem a bit distracted and slow, and the elevators were not up to handle the capacity of the hotel.

Great location, the rooms were clean and more than comfortable. However, upon arrival the parking area was chaos. We were instructed by the front desk to utilize the valet service. On the second night of our 3 night stay we discovered that our truck had not been parked under ground it was left right at the entrance door to the hotel. It was either rummaged through by the valet staff or was left unlocked by the valet staff and therefore easy prey for one of the many homeless people loitering around the garage, or maybe just a very run of the mill person with no conscience. We don’t usually leave valuables in our vehicles but I left my prescription sunglasses in there. The glasses were taken as well as my son’s backpack with all of his school books in it and some spare change. The front desk did refund my fee for the parking but tried to tell me they weren’t responsible for the unlocked truck/break in, that I couldn’t see the surveillance footage and that I would have to file a police report. Yes I got the parking for free, it does not come close to the cost of replacing my glasses or the textbooks in my son’s backpack. I had to press the acting manager at the front desk for any solution. I ended up having to point out that it was one of her employee’s recommendation for using the valet service to get any type of solution. Her first reaction was to say it wasn’t the hotels fault. Well it might not be ,but the service they employ to valet, plain and simple didn’t do their job and now I’m out hundreds of dollars and the inconvenience of having to replace the items that were stolen. The parking situation is a nightmare. There aren’t enough spots to self park so utilizing the valet service is almost forced unless you want to park off sight.

We originally booked a room with two queen beds to accommodate two adults and two children. Upon arrival, we were informed that this room type was no longer available and were instead moved to a room (1430) with one king-size bed and a sofa bed. While we understood the change in availability, we were assured at the time by Joshua at reception that we would receive a discount due to the downgrade in room configuration, that the sofa bed would be prepared, and that a rollaway bed would be sent to the room. Minutes after settling into our room, another family knocked on our door twice, believing it was their assigned room, as they had been given the same room number (they showed us the key jacket). This was extremely unsettling and created confusion and discomfort for our family, especially with children present. Housekeeping never came to the room to make the sofa bed or deliver the rollaway bed, and my husband took it upon himself to go down to reception a couple of hours after check-in to request for the extra bed and for the sofa bed to be made. We tried calling but no one picked up the phone. Housekeeping showed up with sheets and a pillow and my husband was left to make the bed himself for our children. The extra bed never arrived. Upon reviewing our charges after leaving the hotel, we were very surprised and disappointed to see that on top of not receiving a discount, we were actually charged extra for hotel parking even though we did not use it. My husband had parked his car himself and paid for parking directly at the parking lot. The bathroom was also a disappointment. Although we were provided with two bath towels (for four people) , one of them had one large and several small holes—so large that it was essentially unusable. It was frustrating and surprising to see such a damaged towel offered to guests. We value the Hilton brand and chose DoubleTree expecting a smooth and family friendly experience. Unfortunately, this stay fell short of those expectations and was more reminiscent of an episode of Faulty Towers.
