  Great service from the start of my stay. We reached a bit early and receptionist was kind enough to check us in without any delay. Valet parking service was blessed especially given the parking issues in the area. Car was parked underground which helped during winter months and valet service staff were great. I really enjoyed the lounge area especially because of coffee machine and tea. Just one suggestion for the hotel, it would be great to have a couple of complementary water bottles in the room. Overall it was a great stay and I will surely book here again.

  DO NOT PARK VALET HERE-TRACKER PLACED IN VEHICLE. After checking out and traveling in the direction of home, my phone picked up that a tracker was located near me. After pulling over and calling police, a smart tag tracking device was located in the front engine bay of my vehicle. Spoke with Manager Maya, she confirmed cars are valeted to 1 of 2 parking garages under and next door to the hotel with only Best Western employee access. She then denied that any valet employees would have placed the tracker, and then stated sometimes the cars sit on the street and said maybe someone on the street placed the tracker in the vehicle. Either way, I do not trust the valet here, and the location is not the safest so if cars are being left on the street they’re prone to anything. Maya did not offer a refund and continued to defend her valet employees, despite being told cars are kept in a safe garage below. Overall stay was OK, staff was not very welcoming and not helpful with local recommendations. We will not be returning here.

  Clean room and good location. Liked the Latte machines in the lobby. Checkout is noon which enabled us to spend the morning exploring. Nice staff. Lots of food options nearby.

  The drive to Montreal was smooth and pleasant. When I arrived, I was instantly filled with excitement. Back in Ontario, there hadn’t been any snow, so stepping into Montreal’s midnight Christmas scene—covered in sparkling white snow and freezing air—felt magical. It was a completely different experience. But once the initial thrill faded, reality set in. I couldn’t find a parking lot, and when I asked the front desk, I learned there was an extra parking fee because I had booked through Expedia. The parking was hard to find too. I had to go through a different road to get in it. That was disappointing. Before booking this hotel, I had actually compared several options in the same price range, some offering even better benefits. I chose this one only because of its big-brand reputation and my lack of familiarity with the area. Unfortunately, that decision didn’t work out. The hotel was old and poorly maintained. My room was tiny, had an unpleasant smell, and the carpet looked barely cleaned. Even the coffee maker was dirty. The staff weren’t friendly or helpful, which made the stay even less enjoyable. I stayed just one night—really only about ten hours. The booking mentioned I could choose between a room with a tub or a shower, but the receptionist never asked. That lack of communication summed up the whole experience: disappointing and far from what I expected.
